Rated 3 out of 5áby ConanofAquilonia Extremely comfortable, iffy construction
I have never owned a pair of more comfortable shoes in my life. They fit my Hobbit feet perfectly and have never caused me pain in the course of my wanderings. They are also quite water-resistant, generally keeping my feet dry in the rain (though of course splashing into a deep puddle will result in wet feet no matter what!) Unfortunately they didn't last nearly as long as I would have liked. Having purchased my pair in April or May, they are now almost entirely worn out in December. One of the fabric eyelets tore out only a few weeks after purchasing and the liner fabric beneath the insoles somehow disconnected from the rest of the shoe within a month or two, necessitating my carefully arranging the insoles before putting them on to prevent bunching and blisters (as I found out 5 miles in to a much longer hike.) Recently one of the tabs (or whatever you call the fabric bit on the heel you pull to help get your shoes on) tore out entirely and over the past few months the lining has basically disintegrated on both shoes. I might well have just been unlucky, and I love the shoes for their comfort, but durability leaves something to be desired.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Gregg2929 Very comfortable
I have been looking for an alternative to wearing sneakers or hiking boots all winter. These shoes are very comfortable and waterproof. I ended up at a soccer game last weekend where it poured, my feet stayed nice, warm and dry.

Rated 4 out of 5áby big foot extra wide
it is hard to find a comfortable quality shoe like this in an extra wide size. They have taken away my foot pain for now

Rated 5 out of 5áby Treader Very comfortable shoe for a wide foot
I have a very wide foot, and it is nice to know there are still some shoe makers out there that realize that a size 13 foot is going to be wide, not narrow! The shoe is very comfortable. It is a little bit heavy though. I find myself adjusting for the weight of the shoe compared to my last pair of Keens.

Rated 5 out of 5áby defever great hiking shoe
this is the third pair of the merrel moab ventilator,, this shoe has great support and after a long hike your feet are not tired. I have used this shoe for a 5 day back trip into the Grand Canyon down to phantom ranch and they were very comfortable. I would and have recommend these to a friend

Bought these from Dick's about a year ago. Paid a lot more then the current price.
Used on short morning hikes; relatively flat, even terrain. Soles wore out within a year. Very poor quality. Not worth it, even at the sale price.
I am currently looking for hiking shoes with thick soles. Will buy Merrill only as a last resort.

Rated 5 out of 5áby USMC Grunt AWESOME!
Having been around the world on my feet, I have come to be a strong critic of a "good" pair of shoes/boots. Making the wrong choice can be the difference between having energy to spare at the end of the day,..or wishing it was time to hit the rack by noon. These Merrell's leave you feeling like a new person at the end of tough day. Your feet, legs, and lower back with thank you for making this investment. Even with a day pack on, you're left with tons of energy. Outstanding job Merrell!

Rated 5 out of 5áby Chase Excellent All Around Shoe
This is my second pair of these Moab Hikers. The comfort and support is outstanding. They hold up very well. You will wear out the tops before the bottoms go.
I still use my first pair (about 6 years old) when I do yard work, etc. I strongly recommend these shoes.

This current pair was a replacement of a previous order. The first pair was my normal 10.5wide but crunched my toes so I exchanged them for 11wide. This pair fits better except the left shoe causes my foot to ache even if the laces are loose. The reason is that my left heel slides slightly inward in the shoe causing discomfort over time. Tightening up the laces makes it worse. This becomes quite noticable at the end of the day. The right shoe however fits like a glove. I am pretty sure that I am going to return these this week for a different model.
