Merrell Men's Moab Mid GTX Hiking Boot 3.4 5 29 29
very happy Very light weight, comfortable and they keep me dry. They were just what I was looking for. January 22, 2013
southerncomfort these hikers are very comfortable. no break in time really required. i like day hiking and these boots hard to beat for the money. December 9, 2012
Another satisfied customer. I have had 3 pairs of the low top Merril's Moab and loved them. So I wanted to try the mid size for a little more ankle protection. They immediately fit well and needed no break in time. My second hike was up to Ediza Lake in Mammoth Lakes area. I had no problem with them even after slipping into Shadey Lake over the top of the boot. After hiking 10 more miles and cleaning them up they are no worse for the wear. To me these are more like gloves for the feet. Rigidity is not a strong point with these boots, if you need it. They are flexible, comfortable and well padded. July 19, 2012
Awesome Hiker Boot! It's a really comfortable lightweight hiking boot, it is my second pair. I wear them almost daily, the size of the boot was accurate for me, and they wear comfortably right out of the box. My only complaint is that you have to tie them some what tight, the boot strings come loose often. A fix would be some kind of waxed leather laces. June 13, 2012
Foot problems This shoe was perfect for stabilizing my foot after surgery for extra nivicular bone removal. Most shoes were hurting my feet where this shoe was the only one I could use. December 24, 2011
Perfect for Hiking Great looking shoe in addition to great comfort. Excellent for Hiking Mt. Leconte in the Smokies! September 9, 2011
Good Boot Good Price I'm a DOD contractor in SW Asia and I've had my Merrell Moabs for about 18 months of continuous wear and I'm pretty happy with them. I've put a lot of miles on them in very hot weather in sandy, rocky terrain. They fit well and breath better than any boot I've had before. My feet stay dry and healthy. A coulple of cons - I'm not a big fan of the reflective eyelets but a little paint pen took care of that. Also if your running full speed across rocky terrain you will dent the shank in the toe or sole - but a hard handle or folded pocket knife will reverse the dent quite well. They are what they are: this is an excellent boot for the desert, but dont get it if your going to be in a wet environment because they will not keep you feet from getting wet, but they will dry quickly. After 18 months I have worn the heels down and the uppers are cracking at the top of the toe joint becasue I got a slight rip in the fabric sliding out of a truck which is a whole other story - anyway I'm here becasue I like them so much I'm buying another pair to replace my current ones when they finally give out. Exactly what we require. We have taken delivery of the boots in Melbourne, Australia so they have travelled a long way. The Merrells are to replace a pair, purchased at Dick's in Detroit in 2008, and worn on the Kakoda Track in Papua New Guinea. You may need to Google Maps this place! The old boots were left with the native guide as they have very little material goods in that part of the world. Thanks. June 12, 2011
poorly made If the shoe fits wear it.However these didnt fit and after one day the right innner heal blistered up! Ouch! Never happened on a cheaper pair of columbia,s. Returned and now looking for a real pair of shoes that are a little more flexible . I dont recommend this model at this high of a price. Failed miserably. May 28, 2011
