Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Hiker Boot! It's a really comfortable lightweight hiking boot, it is my second pair. I wear them almost daily, the size of the boot was accurate for me, and they wear comfortably right out of the box. My only complaint is that you have to tie them some what tight, the boot strings come loose often. A fix would be some kind of waxed leather laces. June 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great lite weight hiker these are very very comfortable hikers. I have used these on hunting days during early bow season and even later during gun season. I have also worn these to casual excursions as well. I have no complaints. i wear these all the time. No separating of any parts of this hiker have occured. I read the other reviews and wonder what they were really doing with this boot. Waterproof and comfortable. you can wear them out of the store. no break in period.. they are certainly worth the money. you can of course buy $400.00 boot and get something else for the dollar you spend. but as a simple no frills hiker, buy them. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Boot Good Price I'm a DOD contractor in SW Asia and I've had my Merrell Moabs for about 18 months of continuous wear and I'm pretty happy with them. I've put a lot of miles on them in very hot weather in sandy, rocky terrain. They fit well and breath better than any boot I've had before. My feet stay dry and healthy. A coulple of cons - I'm not a big fan of the reflective eyelets but a little paint pen took care of that. Also if your running full speed across rocky terrain you will dent the shank in the toe or sole - but a hard handle or folded pocket knife will reverse the dent quite well. They are what they are: this is an excellent boot for the desert, but dont get it if your going to be in a wet environment because they will not keep you feet from getting wet, but they will dry quickly. After 18 months I have worn the heels down and the uppers are cracking at the top of the toe joint becasue I got a slight rip in the fabric sliding out of a truck which is a whole other story - anyway I'm here becasue I like them so much I'm buying another pair to replace my current ones when they finally give out. Rated 5 out of 5 by Another satisfied customer. I have had 3 pairs of the low top Merril's Moab and loved them. So I wanted to try the mid size for a little more ankle protection. They immediately fit well and needed no break in time. My second hike was up to Ediza Lake in Mammoth Lakes area. I had no problem with them even after slipping into Shadey Lake over the top of the boot. After hiking 10 more miles and cleaning them up they are no worse for the wear. To me these are more like gloves for the feet. Rigidity is not a strong point with these boots, if you need it. They are flexible, comfortable and well padded. July 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better Than My First Pair!!!! Fit like a glove, like walking bear foot on a rich carpet, feel cool and dry. Last pair went to Unkraine, Poland, Germany,Czecg Republic, Alps, New York, DC! Lasted over two years. When they wore out they were still water proof. Wore them summer, fall, winter and spring. Always great. April 10, 2011

Rated 1 out of 5 by not a good buy sole seperating from boot. Not a good buy at all. I see from others the same thing has happent to them. Dont take the chance. Way too much money for that to happen. January 12, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Sole coming off at toes Had this boot for 3 months now. Very comfortable but the sole is already starting to come off at the toe end of the boots. Will exchange for another pair and hope same situation does not happen again. November 5, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bwindi Silverback Visit We hiked for hours to see the Silverback Gorillas in Uganda. What an experience. These shoes were great. Even though it was wet and warm the one thing I did not have to worry about was my feet. The lunch they packed for us sucked. January 9, 2010
