Merrell Men's Moab GORE-TEX Hiking Shoes 3.7 5 26 26
Not Waterproof I bought these because I like Merrell's and these are suppose to be waterproof, they are NOT waterproof, unless you spray multiple layers of waterproof spray on them. They also lack enough arch support, need to remove the paper thin arch support and insert another arch support. January 22, 2015
I have had these for 8 months no issues at all I have had these Moab Gore-Tex hikers for going on 9 months and I could not be happier. They are still waterproof. They have been getting a good workout in the snow and rain. The soles have great traction and shed the mud and snow easily. They do run wide in size. I usually wear a 9 wide. In these I purchased a 9 regular and they fit perfect. The inside lining material is holding up with no signs of wear. I was in the shoe department looking for winter boots and was asked by two other people what shoe I was wearing.. They are a nice looking hiker. There is no signs of wear on the soles. I am very happy with this purchase. The other great thing is Merrell stands behind there product. If you keep you receipt and have any problem you can send them into Merrell for repair or replacement November 22, 2014
Great Fit Water proof. These shoes run wide but the length is correct. I wear a 9 wide. I first bought the 9 wide and returned them. I got the 9 regular and they fit perfect. The GORE_TEX works perfect. I have owned them for two month and have been to the shooting range over 20 times. I shoot in the morning when the grass is wet. Walking back and forth to the 100 yard line many times and have never gotten wet feet. I have also been in the rain walking out doors in puddles and so forth. As long as I did not go any deeper than the gusset on the tongue my feet stayed dry. They are very comfortable. If you lace them tight your feet do not shift and I have not gotten blisters or hot spots. They are very light and the sole of the shoe has great traction and shed mud and dirt very well. I will get another pair of these before mine wear out just so I have a perfect fitting shoe for years to come. I called Merrell and as long as you have your receipt they will warranty them for waterproof issues or any defect with the soles or sole separation. They will pay shipping both ways. They are expensive but for me my feet are well worth it. July 30, 2014
Merrell GTX Hiking Just got them and wore them only a few times. Comfortable and light. October 15, 2013
top shoes like them, this is my 3rd pair... lke them very much January 2, 2013
So Far So Good - not used much to date Have't had much time to use it. Traveling next week and they will get a good workout. The shoe was recomended by a relative he loves them. His only complaint was they get a bit warm in warm weather but great in the cold August 23, 2012
Great fit Great shoe. No breaking in period needed, just like all my past Merrill shoes and boots. I just took them on a 10 day trip to Scotland. I put them on right out of the box and never had a problem. I've had hiking shoes before, but none of them were this comfortable. The size seems to run a little small. I needed to order I size bigger than in the past. Or maybe at 62 years of age my feet are still growing. July 27, 2012
Wore out too quickly - 7 months Second pair of these. First pair was purchased in Jan. 2010 and was perfect, but this pair "popped" with each step. Merrill replaced but the replacement pair was worse. In 7 months the sole is worn through. Way too pricey for the quality. It has been very water resistant for me. May 19, 2012
Easy of ordering very confortable, and versible. The sole holds up really well. March 20, 2012
I would not buy this shoe again. I work on a golf course and I wear this shoe daily for about 3 hours in the morning when dew is on the grass. I wear this shoe when it rains too, but that is rare here in Colorado. I was very disappointed that this shoe only lasted 6 months before it started leaking. The sole separated from the shoe and the outer structure of the shoe broke down (cracked) exposing the inner lining which caused moisture to enter. Although they are a very comfortable shoe they are not very durable. I was excited about the Gor-Tex feature, but extremely disappointed to have spent what I consider a lot of money for shoes to have them break down after a short period of time. The tread outlived the "waterproof" feature. I am going to try my luck with Keen this year. March 16, 2012
