So Far So Good - not used much to date
Have't had much time to use it. Traveling next week and they will get a good workout. The shoe was recomended by a relative he loves them. His only complaint was they get a bit warm in warm weather but great in the cold

Great fit
Great shoe. No breaking in period needed, just like all my past Merrill shoes and boots. I just took them on a 10 day trip to Scotland. I put them on right out of the box and never had a problem. I've had hiking shoes before, but none of them were this comfortable. The size seems to run a little small. I needed to order I size bigger than in the past. Or maybe at 62 years of age my feet are still growing.

Wore out too quickly - 7 months
Second pair of these. First pair was purchased in Jan. 2010 and was perfect, but this pair "popped" with each step. Merrill replaced but the replacement pair was worse. In 7 months the sole is worn through. Way too pricey for the quality. It has been very water resistant for me.

I would not buy this shoe again.
I work on a golf course and I wear this shoe daily for about 3 hours in the morning when dew is on the grass. I wear this shoe when it rains too, but that is rare here in Colorado. I was very disappointed that this shoe only lasted 6 months before it started leaking. The sole separated from the shoe and the outer structure of the shoe broke down (cracked) exposing the inner lining which caused moisture to enter. Although they are a very comfortable shoe they are not very durable. I was excited about the Gor-Tex feature, but extremely disappointed to have spent what I consider a lot of money for shoes to have them break down after a short period of time. The tread outlived the "waterproof" feature. I am going to try my luck with Keen this year.

I continue to buy these shoes.
This is the second pair of these shoes now and still as good. I work on the ramp of an airport and staying dry can be quite a challenge. One thing I can count on are my feet to be high and dry. The soles last better than other shoes I've tried on the concrete. Would definately recommend these to anyone.

NOT WATERPROOF
NOT WATERPROOF!!! Although it says it on the side, these shoes ars NOT WATERPROOF. They are a waist of money if you want to keep your feet dry.

What happen to Gore-Tex??????
I have bought my third and last pair of these shoes. The first two pair I owned clearly said GORE-TEX on the side and provided great waterproof performance. The latest pair that I purchased did not say GORE-TEX, instead they simply say "WATERPROOF" on the side. The addition of Aegis antimicrobial-treated GORE-TEX? XCR? lining adds a new level of disapointment with no waterproof protection in my experiance. The simple truth is that I can't even walk through freshly cut grass that has morning dew on it without completely soaking the inside of the shoes in minutes. The latest Marrell Moabs are VERY disappointing, misleading, and not worth the money if you want a shoe that provided any more water resistance than a pair of sandals.
