Customer Reviews:

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Intermediate Hiking Shoe I love hiking and mainly stick to intermediate trails. I have very poor balance and frequently loose my footing, especially downhill, so I decided to invest in hiking boots. These shoes were comfortable right out of the box!! I wore them around my apartment but quickly realized I wouldn't have any discomfort. I wear a 9 1/2 and they were true to size although a little wide around the ankle to account for a thicker sock. I took the shoes on a recent trip to Portland, Oregon and they were AMAZING. I kept my footing over loose, rocky trails throughout the gorge and forest trails. My feet never even budged going downhill and that is saying a lot if you know me. I can't imagine a better pair of shoes for the price!! July 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by No "break in" necessary! I had read in other reviews that this shoe didn't need much break-in time, and they were right! I wore them for the first time and did a fairly level 5-mile walk and my feet felt great. A week later, I wore them for a moderately rugged trail hike (abt 7 miles) and my feet still felt great! The walls of the shoe are a bit "soft" so I had to lace them up pretty tight for support, but they were very comfortable. On both outings, I wore with a lightweight Smartwool hiking sock and my feet stayed cool and comfy all day. April 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love them! I never write reviews, but I love these shoes. Very comfortable right out of the box. Great support and toe room. Might not work if you wear a narrow width, but great if you have a slightly wide foot especially around the toe area. Warm and breathable at the same time. March 29, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love these shows! 1 hike/ trail run in, and these shoes are great! Was able to wear them right out of the box without break in time. Ran up and down hill on San Diego's loose rocky trails without slipping all over the place. Shoes are comfy and wide enough at the toes that there is no crowding for my slightly wide toe base. Rated 5 out of 5 by Terrific I am so far impressed by these hikers. They are very comfortable and have been right from the first hike. No breaking in. January 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice Did not need to be broke in. Ready to go out of the box. January 10, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great shoe for adjusters! Comfortable, good support, and roomy toe box. Only complaint is that they don't breathe well. August 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great price Nice comfortable shoe which felt good the first time I wore it. Order 1/2 size larger than you normally wear because it runs small. May 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Loved this shoe, but it doesn't last as long as I would have liked This shoe was extremely comfortable right out of the box, I was able to go on multiple hour hikes up a mountain without any foot discomfort at all. My only complaint is that this shoe died after 10 months of wearing it, granted I'm on my feet almost all day every day and I've worn it out at the barn I volunteer at so I probably put more miles on it in 10 months than most people do. The laces started coming apart a little while ago and I've almost worn through the cushion. Having said all that though, I'm heading to Dicks this weekend to buy another pair because they are just THAT comfortable! I found that wearing this shoe helped my knee pain (at least it did before I wore all the padding down) and that is worth $70/year to me. May 2, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Hard to break-in. I have worn this shoe for about 5 hikes so far of 5-6 miles. I can't wait to take them off. The left shoe feels fine, but the right shoe cramps by toes and I am very sore when finished. I have tried loosening the shoestrings and have also tried different weight socks, but nothing seems to help. April 25, 2015
