Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid Driver, Great Flexibility I have hit this and other adjustable drivers. Without a doubt this is as solid a club that I have hit in a long time. The only knock, the $$$$ it is selling for. Any player knows you have to find the correct head, loft and shaft flex to be consistent. This one is it for me. I was hitting my driver around 235 air time and roll out to 253. This with a few adjustments had be flying the ball 250+ and rolling out into the mid 270's low 280's. That is a significant pick up off the tee. Overall the adjustments you can make to loft and bias for fades or draws is great. The other adjustable clubs out there, just did not stack up as well as this one does. March 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Tested all the major brands via the electronic driving range, this club consistently out performed all other name brands, utilizing "apples to apples" comparison for consistency. Shots using this club gave an average of 22 yards further distance, and all were almost exactly in the middle of the fairway. September 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by great driver, doesnt fix a struggling (slicing) golfer I love the driver. I love the look of it, the weight of the head, the feel of the swing and the way it strikes the ball, and the way it sounds. I love the adjustability. This is the first driver I have ever purchased for myself (a move from my Titleist 907 D2). When I hit it correctly, it hits long for me at this phase in my golf experience, about 250 on the fly (I am a new golfer, only playing consistently for the last two years, and I am 33 in pretty good physical condition). I hit both this and the Taylormade Slider. For me, the Slider felt heavier, almost like swinging a hammer, and I didn't like the feel of the slider as much, but that is just a personal thing that each consumer has to consider. I will say though that while I knew the driver would not fix my slicing issues, I wanted to believe it might. It did help cut down on how much my ball would tend to fade and I can feel the perimeter weight making a difference in how the club face wants to travel through the air, but the reality was that I needed to get better posture and make some changes to create a more inside/out swing path with a square club face. I say that to just say if you have a good driver and are thinking of making the switch to this club thinking it will cure some ills, the club is great, but it cannot fix how we swing it, and perhaps getting some lessons or working on some swing issues might be where you need to start before investing in a new club. Everyone I interacted with at Dick's (and their affiliate 'Golf Galaxy') was great. When the guys at Dick's fitted me for shaft and any club adjustments and didn't have any stiff shafts in the store, they ordered online for me and the package came within 5 days (very fast). The club was in great shape, and the adjustment tool and head cover were present in the package. I also took it to a Golf Galaxy, a store I believe is associated with Dick's, and they were great. They put me on the simulator and suggested adjustments on the neck of the club but also gave me some tips for ball position, posture and swing path. The purchasing experience was excellent, and I love the club and believe it will be in my bag for a long time. March 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Driver I got this driver for fathers day, I did not tweak it. It's at 10.5 and S position. I'm 70 yrs old and getting 20 to 30 more yards. I was hitting a taylor made draw and a ping G20. This Driver is by far the best i ever hit. If you thought about getting one, Don't think just get one. you will love it. June 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Right Club The pro, Jerry, at our local Dick's store was most helpful when I selected the driver, and he assisted in making the adjustments after I received the Big Bertha in the mail. I think the key is the shaft. Getting the Fubuki fitting my swing speed has made a big difference on the course. The pro at Dick's was superb. He took the guess work out of choosing the right Driver. I am exceptionally pleased with the Callaway Big Bertha and the pro. March 8, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not Impressed I have played a number of Callaway drivers over the years and this was truly a disappointment. This club does not perform as well as some of the older Callaway drivers in terms of forgiveness and distance. February 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bertha's Back!!! I've had this driver for about 3 weeks now and I've been able to gain confidence off the tee. This club does what it says, it's long, straight, and the adjustability is awesome. I've gained yards from my old RBZ stage 2 driver and I'm more confident than I've been. It's a little pricey, but in my opinion worth the money. June 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by WOW!!!!! Bertha Rocks!!!!! First New Driver I have bought in years, was hooked on my FT9 I-Mix, I have 4 different shafts, and have hit all the new ones for the last 5 years and only got 4 or 5 yards more distance, not enough for me to shell out several hundred bucks for. I hit the Big Bertha and the Alpha, and I was hooked from the first swing. 10-12 yards on the simulator, more on the course. Sorry Callaway won't be buying another driver for several years. Rated 5 out of 5 by I love my Big Bertha Driver ! This the best ( and most expensive ) driver I have ever owned. It allows me to adjust the club so that I don't have to think about altering my swing to correct the flight of the ball. I just swing my natural swing, and away we go right down the middle of the fairway. Golf off the tee is now fun. July 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by big bertha getting used to all the adjustments, very consistent. August 5, 2014
