Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 23 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very nice entry level road bike This was my first road bike. I had been using an old mountain bike early in the year. This bike is quiet and much faster than my mountain bike. It seems very sturdy after 150 miles on it. I would recommend this bike for the price and what you get. September 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by This product has great features This product is an amazing bike. The ride is smooth and the gears shift smoothly. September 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nishiki bike Thought Issac was a great salesman. I like the bike a lot. My only complaint is that the seat is giving me a sore backside. September 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by First Road Bike... So far absolutely love it! Just switched from a mountain bike which I've had for years. That thing is like a tank compared to this. I checked out the local bike shops and the only thing comparable I could find was $800 plus. So smooth...I really enjoy it! August 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent commuter and entry sport bike I had this bike now for more than 3 months (bought in June). I use it to commute from and to the office (12 miles total) every day. It did a great impact on my health and budget. I think I am saved almost half of the bike price on gas savings. Yes, this is entry bike, but everything on this bike is a very good quality you can generally find in 1k "entry" bikes. You can change a lots of components while you go, but does it really need for an average commuter. In US we tend to over accessorise, and this bike does not need anything extra. Now you just need a good sports wear, head and tail lights, a good 700cc rack, and commuter bags. Oh and I forgot, a good lock. Immediately at the parking lot, I received a lots of compliments on the bike. August 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Deal for the Price I bought this bike about 2 months ago and I love it!! I've never ridden road bikes much so this is my first one. After buying it I did more research on road bikes in general and for the price this bike is great. It has Shimano Claris Shifters which are great for entry level bikers who haven't used the STI s before (Shimano Totally Integrated). So if you're looking for a road bike and don't have a thousand dollars to throw down on your first bike this is the way to go. My only suggestion is that you replace the pedals it comes with, with the clip in ones. I just got some Shimano SPD SL s and they are great! Either way it's a great buy for a entry level biker. The nice thing is that you can always upgrade the components on the bike and make it better. August 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great bike I've really enjoyed riding my new bike. Great new Shimano component I recommend this bike to all August 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nishiki Love the bike! And I'm a person that does extensive research before I make a purchase. Great product! July 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Purchased to ride 20 mile round trips to school/ train for triathlon The thrift store road bike I had broke (spokes)...which was only a matter of time as it was nearly 40+ years old. The wife and I decided on the new bike budget and landed on the 2014 Nishiki Maricopa Road Bike. Full Shimano components, though entry level, function superbly. I could not be happier. It's amazing the difference between an "antique" bike and a new one. This thing flies down the road, is super comfortable and reasonably priced for someone who needs a solid commuter or entry level racing bike. I plan on using this for upcoming triathlons. Hard to find a size medium though. I had to drive from WI to IL to get the medium. Worth the trip. July 29, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Nishiki Road Bike I had the bike for a week before I took it back to the store. I was having issues with the chain/pedals keeping tension in the bottom half of the pedal rotation. They tried to exchange it for another bike, exact same model. This bike also had the exact same problem. They had the Diamond back road bike online for the exact same price has this nishiki in the store, the manager ended up matching the online price in the store for me. The diamond back is a much better bike. July 29, 2014
