Rated 4 out of 5 by great value and easy to put up. Went to a marine corps reunion and used the tent. very easy to put up and take down. it will actually go into the carrying bag that is provided. September 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tent Just got back from a trip in this tent. Very easy set up with the two of us. We had some cold and rainy weather and the tent kept everything completely dry. Screened area was nice to keep wet shoes and chairs in. I'd suggest getting a footprint tarp big enough to sit not only beneath the tent but the screened area as well to serve as a floor if you'd like. The bag the tent comes in expands to fit everything in after usage, nice! Only complaint is that the fabric covering the zipper on the door got stuck in the zipper with every use. Not sure if there's anything you could even do for that. September 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Seems good to me I have had a couple tents over the years (I'm in my early 40's) and my wife and I bought this today on Labor Day, $180 (a good tent sale day, lol). We set it up in the garage, my plan was to spray extra waterproofing on it, but it is huge! Then again, I've only ever had 4 person dome tents. We had it up within a couple minutes, without even looking at the directions. It's not rocket science for crying out loud, its a tent! Anyway, we are really pleased and looking forward to using it real soon. I will update after our first use if this site will let me, or add another post rating. September 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value, roomy, with a few watch outs As we shopped for tents are priorities were roomy with a screen porch. We went Camping for 3 days in rainy conditions, and the tent kept us dry with the caveat that windows must be completely closed during rain. The fly doesn't extend out past the windows to keep rain from coming in. On the plus side, windows are big and some of the best for star gazing I've experienced. We have two XL cots (the size of twin beds), a portable crib and 150# dog plus lots of baby gear. We have enough room to also have two camp chairs inside the tent. The screen porch is really nice, and is part of the fly. Great for sitting outside bug free. Due to the angle of the porch, you will get wet if it's raining. The setup is easy, but one pole was a bit stuck on the second time using, so three-in-one oil is now part of our camp kit. After the first trial run setup, we were amazed how easy setup was for two people. The easy up poles are handy and save the hassle of "which poles go in which sleeve". As other reviewers have said, the fabric in the tent door gets caught every time till you figure out how to zip with with finger sliding along the zipper on th outside. None of the concerns I've mentioned are a deal breaker, and I like this best of the Coleman, eureka and cabelas tents we've had. Delivery was free and fast. The weight of the tent bag is what I'd expect for a tent this size. The $209 sale price was great. August 31, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy up and roomy On a scale of 1-10 I rate this product 9.3. It rained the first night out. The tent stayed dry. The tent stayed in tact . I highly recommend this tent. August 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy set-up, tons of room Just got back from camping for 3 days. This tent is so easy that even short trips are worth it. The zipper does get caught on the rain fly, but overall we had no complaints. The screened porch was great for helping keep bugs out and for storing shoes, a chair and the tent bag. I had my 16 year old put it up at home first to get familiar and make sure there were no issues with it. He and a friend got it up in less than 10 mins and it was even less time at the campground. One tip is to extend the top poles completely before raising the sides. (the directions may have said that, but, well, he's a guy and probably didn't read them) We loved the room divider and the light hoop at the top. Excellent tent for the price we paid - about $200. Rated 2 out of 5 by Poor Zipper, Not-So-Watertight Pros: Nice size for family of 4 with two queen beds and a big dog, with all our junk. We loved the screened "porch" for our shoes and to keep most bugs away from our front door. Cons: Speaking of the front door... do you have two free hands to open and close it every time you enter or leave the tent? Me neither. There is a rain flap over the bottom third of the zipper that gets bound up in the zipper 98% of the time you attempt to operate it with one hand. I intended to return it based on the zipper alone. Then it rained. To be fair it was a lot of rain over a 24 hour period. But eventually we found small (circumference of basketball) puddles in two of the corners. I returned it. Going coleman this time. Or a Cabella's Alaskan Guide Geodesic tent if I can scrape together $600! August 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for us! We went camping in June for two weeks. This tent was perfect! We did set it up at home before heading out to make sure there were no issues with the tent. We also purchased the extra warranty as a safe guard too! When we got there I helped my husband to set it up but he did most of it himself with minimal help as I was tending to the kids and other tents. We had 6 in our tent but about 12 of us camping. The screened in shelter (if set up properly) was perfect for 2 storage bins to stow gear in on the diagonal sides, 2 standard folding chairs so kids/adults could remove dirty shoes or clothes before entering tent, and shoe storage! We did go purchase a tarp for under the tent as it didn't have a footprint. We also got a plastic liner ($6) for the screened in area as well as two outside door mats ($3). Worked perfect! We just tucked the flaps of the screen under the plastic and placed the mats at the entry and voila... protection from mud and soil! I love the mesh net pouches at the head rest areas! We utilized the over hang for light bars and kept the remotes in the pouch by the head rest. We had very little children and this worked great for midnight bathroom trips as well as bed time set up. The only problem we had was due to a slight slant in the terrain. But that obviously wasn't due to the tent! I do however highly recommend placing it in the flattest area possible due to the size. The wall area also provided a great area for us to utilize as a changing area. When we didn't need the wall we easily hooked the bottom nodules to the top loops like pulling up a curtain. The light color made the tent bright and airy during the day! It held up great against the rain and wind. It collapsed perfectly and we were able to stow it away easily! 5 stars from all of my family! July 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quest Instant up 8-Person Love this tent! went camping for 5 days and just got back. Bear Spring Mountain in Catskills, weather was Great but most of all the five kids I brought used this tent and It was super easy to set up and take down since I did it by my self. All 5 kids are 8-10 yrs. of age. fantastic not having to wrestle with a tent and give direction while struggling with a tent pole in your hand. Would have even bought this at full price if I knew it was this Nice. Thank You for such a Good Quality Product! Our Family July 25, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by do not buy!! We bought this tent for our family of six. While it was huge, it was very poorly built. My husband and I are very experienced campers and it was everything we could do to get this tent together. The directions are pretty much non-existent, but we got it up after about 45 minutes- not quite what was advertised. It was already sagging by the morning. We were excited about the front porch area, but there are huge gaps in between where the screen connects to the tent. The worst part about this tent was when it was time to take it down. The poles would NOT go back down. We finally gave up after an hour of trying and just shoved what we could back into the bag. Luckily, it was not a long trip, as we had to tie it to our roof to get it back home. The only good thing about the tent was how readily Dick's took it back- no questions asked. July 23, 2014
