Rated 5 out of 5 by tennis shoes Fits perfectly when walking, jogging, or playing tennis. October 5, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very uncomfortable. Will give to charity. I wanted to buy New Balance #656; but bought these 786. Rating is 0 or 1 out of 5. Had 2 of these 656 over 4-5 years playing indoors only; those are great 5 stars shoes. I have New Balance 655 shoes that I used outside only for 4-5 years, still comfortable. September 8, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by Happy to be back in New Balance. After some prelim search on line, went to local store to check size, but preferred model not available. After trying on several alternative brands ,the clerk offered to look in warehouse to see if my desired model was in stock. Fortunately, proper size and preferred model were there and order was placed. In addition, price was cheaper than my research found. Years ago, I used NB 996 for summer job involving much walking in sand, carrying heavy loads. These shoes were excellent arch and heal support, eased back problem, and I expect much the same from this model.NB has been great in providing durable shoe with excellent foot support and cushion. Rated 5 out of 5 by New Balance Tennis Shoes I have purchased New Balance Tennis Shoes for many years. They have the quality I expect, are an excellent value with strong durability and most importantly are manufactured in the United States--not overseas. May 24, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by My favorite tennis shoe. I have worn New Balance for several years. I would hate to have to change brands. January 10, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not what I expected For many years I wore Wilson tennis shoes I found on sale at Big 5 and never had foot problems until recently (Achilles, hamstring pulls). I thought my shoes were the culprit and decided to give New Balance a try. The New Balance store I visited only had 2 options and these were the cheapest yet still more than what I paid at Big 5 for my Wilson's. After a month with these shoes my heels are killing me and I can barely walk. They are stiffer in the sole than my Wilson's. The Wilson's grabbed the court well and reacted well to that first step when chasing down a ball. Not so on either account with these shoes. Maybe their more expensive styles provide more cushioning in the heel and respond better. These were disappointing. I'll be looking for some new Wilson's and use these for dog walking.
