Rated 1 out of 5 by Junk First time using this rod, it literally snapped in half...... It's junk, stay away!!! August 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by 12-20 D is solid It feels solid, i ordered the penn pursuit 2 5000 reel for this rod to live line striper using spot in the chesapeake. I haven't used it yet but its a nice setup. Being 7 feet its short enough to fit in the side pocket of my boat but long enough to still cast plugs. Its a good all around rod for the price. If it breaks first time out ill have to upate this review obviously. February 25, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Penn Squadron Excellent rod. This is the 2nd rod I purchased of this brand. It is limber enough to cast well but has a strong enough backbone to handle any size redfish or trout along the Texas coast. Great quality. January 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good buy for the money Purchased this rod in 7' 6" ML fast action for jigging. Rod is not as sensitive as I was hoping it would be. Feels more like a medium. Ordered the rod online from DICK'S showed up with six of the nine eyelets bent flat against the rod from being shoved into shipping tube. Not Penn's fault they did their job definitely worth the $40. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great catfish rod Bought the medium 7' extra fast rod and paired it up with my pflueger president, my first trip out with it I caught 10 channel cats! Very strong and has a lot of backbone, I definitely recommend this rod for any fisherman! October 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great all around rod Have the medium light 2 paired up with a wright & McGill sabalos 3000 with 10lb braid and this is the best rod you could possibly get for the price. This rod is extremely sensitive with a great backbone. I've caught endless amounts of reds trout trout snook and flounder with this rod. My biggest fish yet is an 28 inch 8lb redfish caught on the mogan spoon. I've brought the fish in rather quick without any problems April 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than expected They are worth the price. I am very pleased with the purchase. April 12, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Snapped Tips I bought a few of these rods to use inshore. I fish coastal rivers and lagoons for trout, redfish and whatever else is biting. So far 2 out of 3 Squadrons have ended up with the rod tips broken after light use. The graphite is very brittle. Too many fishing products are being produced in China using cheap materials which leads to low quality and a major lack of durability. I recommend spending the extra money to get Shimano Teramar inshore rods with the lifetime warranty. September 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by nice Well built rod ,especially for the price.used inshore and brought in a few fish with it..no problems March 3, 2014
