The Merrell® Thermo 6 Inch Water Proof Boots are part of a collection that is built around a molded outer shell and thick insulation for warmth and comfort. This boot is crafted using waterproof nubuck leather with Thinsulate insulation and Polartec® lining for a snug fit. The Vibram® outsole delivers exceptional traction while the 200 grams of PrimaLoft® insulation keeps feet warm in temperatures down to -25°F.

Fantastic grip and great comfort Great boot for all around, everyday use. At first, I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this boot, as the insulated cold temperature nature tended to steer me more towards a sneaker style mid boot. However, the light weight, comfort, versatility, durability and fantastic tread sold me. The boot seems to run slightly big, perhaps 1/4 size over, but as it is a composite material, this is probably a good thing, as the material will not stretch like other fabrics or leathers over time. Upon breaking the boot in during the first day and a half, the upper section was stiff and irritated my ankle, but the very next day, was well worn in and no longer a problem. This is a great mid height hiking boot and can be worn in warmer weather (spring and fall) as they don't appear to get too warm. March 13, 2013

Great shoe I bought this boot approximately 4-5 years ago, and I fell in love with it from the time I tried it on in the store. I am a mail carrier, so I walk for 5-7 hours a day. I only wear them when it's several inches of snow, and/or the temperature drops below freezing. Unlike many of the other posts, I didn't need any break in time for the shoe, the insole is, and is still very cushioned. I wear a thick wool sock over my socks, and my feet stay warm for the majority of the day. The water proofing seems to work well, but in 17 years of carrying mail, I have yet to find a boot that is COMPLETELY waterproof. The sole is just now beginning to wear out, so this will probably be their last winter. I will definitely buy this boot again! February 6, 2013

Solid and durable These boots are very well built and look like they will last for a while, the sole is Vibram which I am familiar with and I personally like for durability. I just used this boots in the snow they are comfy and warm on my big size 13 feet. I particularly like the pattern of the sole that gives a solid grip on swowy/icy ground.. January 28, 2013
Best boots I have owned These are by far the best boots I have ever owned. I am currently on my 9th pair as I run an automotive rexycling facility and am in every type of condition available. Normal boots last 2-3 months and these last 4 times what the others do and are AWESOME comfortable in any condition.LOVE THESE BOOTS!!! January 28, 2013
Great Boots These boots are perfect for city slush and slick sidewalks. Keeps your feet warm and dry outside but not too warm indoors. I've only had them a few weeks but have used them frequently. Only took a couple wears to get fully comfortable. They're good in deeper snow too and for shoveling. January 28, 2013
Perfect I bought these boots for a trip to Colorado in January. They kept my feet warm in sub-zero temperatures along with staying completely dry while hiking up a mountain in very deep snow. They fit well and are true to size. January 16, 2013

Not what i expected These boots only lasted 7 months wearing them 4 days a week about 6-8 hours a day. The seam on the front side of the toe wore out leaving my foot exposed to the elements.Prior to that my feet stayed warm and dry. It would be nice to see them correct this problem to get a longer wear time. I expected at least 1 year. 7 months com on! January 2, 2013
