Rated 5 out of 5áby Merrell Men's Thermo This is actually my second pair. Excellent at keeping feet warm and water out while walking through snow and ice. I work delivering product in all kinds of weather and these boots perform the best. And they're very comfortable to wear. September 27, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5áby Niece product but not for me. I usually wear a size 10.5, got an 11.5 but too narrow, tight and heavy. Wore the shoes 1 day and had bad leg cramps, not for me. September 25, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5áby Less than 1 year of light wear The shoe laces are run through fabric that rip out September 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Owned since 2008 I bought these while I was working in North Dakota. I have hiked, camped, fished and pretty much anything outdoors with these boots. They are tough! Super tread on the bottom and comfortable. Definitely glad I bought these and glad to see them still for sale. August 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Read This One! 1-1/2 Years After Purchase I'm Even Happier First of all, total disclosure: I have very hard small (men's 8-9) almost flat feet with an old major talus ankle injury. I owned and LOVED my old Vasque, Skywalk boots. Alas, after twenty-seven years the sole finally fell off of one of them when I was walking through some particularly gripping muck on the bottom of a small, shallow stream. Even with the sole gone my foot still stayed dry till I walked a mile home and took it off. When I bought those boots originally I was doing a lot of hiking. The first weekend I had them I did 14.7 miles in one day with a pack that weighed half my body weight, and two weeks later another 3 days and 28 miles on the AT in the White Top, Mt. Rogers area. No problems. However, I found the brand had gone down when I went to find a replacement. I'd known people for years who swore by their Merrells. Unfortunately I can no longer do any serious hiking or weight bearing due to a major ankle injury, but I still needed a good pair of boots as I live in a terrain that is at times muddy, icy, snowy, weedy, rocky, snakkey, etc. Plus I just love a good pair of hiking boots. My priorities were comfort, waterproof, support, traction, warmth/coolness, internal moisture whicking and last of all cleaning. I hadn't had a pair of rubber boots since the ones I waded in mud puddles with as a child, so I was concerned about the breath-ability of these. I'm glad I chanced it. After 19 months of wearing these in lots of different situations, I'm satisfied that I made the right decision. I wear these any time I'm mowing, weeding, going to the store, whatever. I can't speak for if I was hiking like I used too, but I know my feet would stay dry; probably even better than my beloved old boots. The right sock and foot hygiene accomplish wonders. As far as cleaning them I just grab the nearest water supply and a brush. A boot with any woven or pure leather surface would be permanently mucked up at my house. "grin" I've experienced no quality issues as far as seams or stitching. The leather uppers have turned from a light grey color to a beige...I don't care. I bought these for use...not looks. I f you've gotten to this point in my review, you're a smart shopper. I did my research first on these boots. They seemed to suit my requirements so I gave them a chance. I'm glad I did. A word of warning, don't expect them to break in like leather or leather/canvas boots...they don't. Break-in was a little uncomfortable where the top hit above my ankle. Of course, if you are actually reading reviews about hiking boots you already know what to expect. These don't show any signs of creases like regular boots do. They hold their shape. No little hiking 'smile lines' behind the toes. Based on my needs and experience with these after 20 months of regular use, I take these and my towel everywhere. I'd buy these again. August 7, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5áby Does not breath Warm, comfortable, and waterproof. But did not breath and smelled bad from sweat. Then material where the toes crease (more like plastic than leather) cracked on one boot while they were still fairly new. Obviously, one is no longer waterproof. Reading other reviews, I do not believe this to be a common problem and probably could have had them replaced if I had tried when it first happened. April 17, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5áby Great work boot Very comfortable and seem to ware good so far.hard to keep laces tight April 1, 2015
