Rated 5 out of 5áby Very easy to maneuver. This kayak is very easy to get in & out of. Very easy to maneuver in the water & is very lightweight & easy to carry. May 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Product We purchased 2 of these kayaks. One for my husband and one for our 11 year old son. Both are fairly new to kayaking. Yesterday they went out for the first time and they loved the new kayaks. For my son, he is small, it took some getting used to for balance and rowing. But ince he got it, he flew. They have both informed me that I will now be a "kayak widow". Great product. Great price! May 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Kayak at an even GREAT-er price! I bought my Trailblazer 100 kayak in blue during last year's big Memorial Day sale, and absolutely love it! I've paddled it on several big lakes in MN and also a couple of times in the Mississippi River, and it rides extremely well. It is very sturdy for it's light weight, and very easy to carry and lift on to a car roof for transport. It's also very easy to carry by myself between the car and shore by simply grasping the side of the cockpit. It's made using the same material and design as the more expensive Pelican models, but without all the fancy compartments on top. The one oval hatch on top serves to hold a large sponge that I use to help clean it out after use. The seat is a little less padded than the others, but the back is still fully adjustable and it sits well. It is very shallow in depth, which makes it easier to shove off from shore, yet it feels very stable in the water. I even gave mine a name... the SS Cromwell! Overall, it has to be one of, if not the best entry level kayaks out there. May 24, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Good kayak for the price Nothing fancy about this kayak, but it is a great general use kayak. I bought this for my 13 year old son for use on lakes and rivers and it has performed well. It was on sale for $200 and that had a lot to do with my decision to buy it. May 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great beginner Kayak My 12 year old son purchased this kayak for a scout trip and to use this summer. He used it this past weekend on 6 hour kayaking trip and it worked great for him. There were some tougher parts of the water, but this boat is well balanced and the base is wide enough to give him a smooth ride. There were also many places that we had to pull the kayak out of the water due to down trees across the river, and it was light enough and stable enough to allow him to get out and in pretty smoothly. I would recommend this product for a beginner. May 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Value and Lots of Fun. I purchased two of these kayaks last year and I'm very happy. Easy to control, plenty of room and it's comfortable. Buy one, you'll be happy you did May 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Love Them For the value when on sale, you can not beat them! They track good and take a beating. I bought one blue for my son and liked it so much that I bought a blue one for myself. I'm on here now ordering a pink one for my wife. Again for $200, you can't beat them. We live on the Chesapeake and I've had them under the Bay Bridge. We've taken them to Chincoteague Va. also. They are low and I have had a wave or two crash over me. I have never tipped or sunk one. My sister and brother inlaw are constantly borrowing them and put their daughter on their lap. We've never had an issue. We moved from sit ons to sit ins and these are much faster and track way better! May 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Awesome value! Sturdy, spacious, great value. We love them, and we take our 3 year old son & a lunchbox. Great compartment, we put shoes and snacks. Great time! May 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Pelican Trailblazer 100 Kayak Great value kayak. Tracks extremely well and is more kayak than most people need. 19 YO son loves it (I picked up two for $398.00). Highly recommended. May 21, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Best Entry-Level Kayak Deal I like the Trailblazer kayak. I think it is a great deal for an entry level kayak. The material is not as thick or sturdy as the Old Town kayak that I used to have. I took the Old Town down a couple of hairy rivers, but I'll probably stick to lakes and lazy rivers with the Pelican. The Pelican is a lot lighter than the Old Town, so it is easier to lift it onto my roof rack and to carry it to the water. The shape of the Pelican doesn't fit with my roof rack's kayak mounts, but it works if I ditch the kayak mounts and strap it upside down right on the factory roof rack bars. The good thing with the molded shape of the Pelican is that it seems to track a lot straighter in the water compared to the Old Town. One issue I have is that the cockpit opening is huge. It is nice if you want room to move, but I can barely reach the bungee straps on the front of the boat to use them for anything. The kayak is also lacking a bungee to hold your paddle when you aren't using it, so I'll have to add one. May 20, 2016
