Rated 5 out of 5 by No more fishing on the bank for me I have been considering buying some sort of small boat for fishing for almost 10 years. I've looked at every possible option including building my own boat. The biggest obstacle to my purchase was transport. I recently bought an old pick up and thought problem solved, I can get anything I wanted... Well that's not really true without modifications or accessories. But that is an article all by itself. I looked at several other larger and more roomy models that were much more expensive and then I read the reviews on this kayak. Yes, it is a little cramped for my 6 foot, 208 pound frame and yes it does not have much cargo space. However, my first time out I caught fish without any nautical mishaps. It's small size allowed me to put it in the bed of my truck without having to spend a dime more to make it happen. (Well I did buy an adjustable cargo strap). There may be a point that I will trick out my truck with racks and buy a larger model. But for now I see many fishing trips in my future where I no longer stand on the bank and wish I could get to that spot where I just saw that big bass jump! Foot note: It is very easy to handle and launch. As far as tracking, I was able to go exactly where I wanted efficiently and effectively. October 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by just what we needed Tired of loading and unloading the heavy canoe I was looking for a lighter option. At 39 lbs these yaks are easy. At first my wife had hesitation but her 1st practice in the yak she took off and left me and the dog on the bank for half an hour. Like other reviewers report these are extremely stable. When i finally got my turn I was amazed how it glides over the water- I was expecting it to sit deep and be harder to paddle than canoe, but it really is effortless. Got 2 now, and easily put on and off roof mount. September 16, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Kayak Review Took my kayak out on a lake for the first time yesterday. Had a blast with it. It is a good product for the price at which I was able purchase it. September 4, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Somewhat Misleading Great Kayak. I believe I was just mislead in the description of the product. The description stated there was more storage space being a 'fishing kayak,' where my friend has a standard Pelican Kayak with the same amount of storage space, also theirs comes with a cup holder. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great entry level kayak! I was a little leary to try this, because I had a pelican sit on to that was much heavier and slower. I was very surprised how much easier it was to paddle. Only real issue is the price is $100 more than three non-angler version, for which you get two rod holders. July 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Trailblazer 100 Angler This kayak is super stable, light weight, and tracks well. There is enough room for as much fishing gear as I want to bring. My three year old can sit in front of me too! July 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by 2 years and still going strong!!!!! I purchased two of these about 2 years ago as first time kayaks for me and my wife, very sturdy for the price, the only complaint i have is when it starts to drift on me (could be operator error), other than that it has seen about 20 hours since they were purchased. the built in rod holders work well enough aka I haven't lost a rod yet, also as a bigger guy i think it holds me very well, and the boat is extremely stable you would have to have some serious lean going in order to flip it. the adjustable foot pegs are a huge plus, the haul is spacious, the console is large but I wouldn't put anything in it that you care to get wet. the rear compartment works for bottles of water and loose tackle, but it is not under any circumstances water proof. all in all if your looking for a cheap fun first time rig i would highly recommend this model. Rated 4 out of 5 by 1st Kayak I was skeptical on purchasing a kayak, but when I got out there I was addicted. Monday mornings and I cant wait until the weekend. Being 6' 2" I can sit comfortably. Adjust the foot pegs and back harness on your seat. Forewarning: do not put anything in the storage bin if you don't want it to get wet. It does not seal and learned it the hard way with a cell phone. July 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is awesome I love the color of the kayak most of all but everything about it is perfect and easy to use. July 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's great! This is my first kayak and I love it! The seat can get to be a little uncomfortable with the backrest but I just stretch throughout and I'm good for about 4-5 hours! I'm also a bigger guy (250 lbs) and tall (5'10") and I have plenty of room including my tackle. It's sturdy and pretty stable! Def recommend! July 5, 2016
