Rated 5 out of 5 by D5680 Great Deal Took it out on the bay. It was comfortable and stable. Cut through the wind and small waves with no problem. Its light weight made it easy to carry and load in the back of my pickup. Bought it online and picked it up at the store the next morning. August 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by DDR My Pleasure Boat Great stable boat and it's priced right!! It is also light enough for one person to load/unload. Dicks should stock-up on this kayak not the heavy, expensive type that nobody buys. August 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Jean 1st Time Kayakers - Really Good We are 1st time kayakers - so what I wanted was something basic, inexpensive (didn't know if I was going to really like the activity enough to keep at it) and light enough for me to carry by myself so I could go by myself when my husband was not available. (I am a 61 year old female, 5'5", with slightly better than average upper body strength). This was a wonderful choice (the Trailblazer 100 was sold out, so we went with the Angler since it is basically the same - we are not fishers). I can carry it myself, but I do have some difficulty getting it over my head to put on the roof rack. I can do it, but not easily. It is not a fast boat, but it is fine for us, we aren't going to be doing any racing. We have not used it in anything other than calm water, so although I think the stability is great, I don't have a good frame of reference. Easy to get in and out of. A good purchase! August 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by chrchcj For the price a good starter yak Nothing special, tracks fine, very stable, plenty of room. Easy to modify, and is great for a starter fishing kayak. August 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by capt376 Great value! My wife and I bought two of these Kayaks last week. We first used them on a small lake and, just today, used them on or local river (Charles River 15 miles west of Boston). This is a really nice boat! Easy to transport and launch. I outfitted them with some accessories to hold fishing tackle and tethers to hold on to the paddles while fishing. We have owned a few ocean kayaks and these boats really impress us, and the price can't be beat. Finest Kind! July 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dano01 rod holders a must 2nd fishing best for money well balanced caught many fresh water and use for fluke as well don't forget vest July 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Orangehawk Perfect size This 'yak is the perfect size for portability and transport. Light weight for easy portage and fits inside my Tahoe with the tailgate closed. Very stable platform and big cockpit opening for easy entry and exit. I'm 5'11" and 220 so those factors were very important. Add a 1.5 lb anchor and a forward rod holder makes it ideal. Rated 5 out of 5 by swampwolves21296 love this kayak I just bought 2 so my son (18yrs) and I (38yr) could do some fishing in those hard to get to places. We are first timers and were both very impressed with the stability and the easy of mobility.. We very quickly got the hang of it and were racing around the lake. The biggest question I had prior to purchase was the weight capacity, as I am 6'1" 275lbs.. And it handles like a dream.. We took them straight to a little 400acre lake and put them to the test.. Approx 5hrs on the water.. Light current, but the were several ski boats ripping the water up and still didn't even phase the kayak.in the last cpl hours the wind picked up and still no problems. I will actually be buying another soon for my wife.. Only draw back is the storage is not a dry storage like many of the other models have. Easy remedy, double up on zip lock bags.. We are planning on heading to the Grand River tomorrow so if things are different there then I'll make another post. Oh yeah great for fishing. I'm not the most flexible but I was able to use the rod holder in the back with no problem.. July 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by KCF Bought on a whim A friend asked me to join her on the water so I said what the heck and bought a kayak that day. Boy am I glad I did! It is light enough so that I am able to lift it up on top of a Jeep Wrangler by myself with a little juggling and shifting. Being a beginner I was a bit nervous about tipping, but this kayak is very sturdy. The storage compartment comes in very handy, even though it is not completely water proof (there is a warning about this though, so I knew what to expect). It is very comfortable, despite the fact that I cannot decide where I want the foot pegs to be! Haven't used any of the fishing features yet, but I cannot wait to try. Never been happier with an impulse purchase! July 12, 2014
