Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for two OR solo paddler This is my 8th different kayak, and my first tandem. I enjoy hours of paddling, but my family and friends don't want to go that long, so I looked at tandems. My intent for the tandem was that I can paddle with someone, and they can either rest when they get tired and I can continue paddling, or I can drop them off and paddle alone. This Pelican was reasonably priced, has many features, looks good, and was comfortable to sit in at the sales showroom. I took it out for the first time paddling alone. (sitting in the back#. I loaded a cooler and other personal items in the front seat area. The rear hatch is easily accessible by the rear paddler. The rear storage area has a dry bag and has tons of room! Once on the water I was very impressed on the ease of paddling this tandem alone! I consider myself an intermediate to advanced paddler, but it was very easy to control and steer/turn with just one paddler. Going with the wind the kayak tracks /drifts perfectly straight without any paddling adjustments! I'm not used to the large cockpit area, and was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the seat and roomy the seating area is, allowing you to move all around. The stability of the kayak rivals any others that I have owned #from sit on tops, sit insides, and sea kayaks#. I was even able to stand up in the back seating area in the calm water! Even though this is a tandem, it?s relatively light #lighter than my sit on top sea kayak) and easy to load/unload alone, once you figure out how to grab hold of the kayak. I am 6' tall 185lb., a smaller person may need assistance to load/unload. I highly recommend this kayak for those looking for a "divorce boat" and still be able to use the kayak for just one person as well. July 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty Good This is my first tandem kayak, and im pretty happy with it. Sturdy, and stable. Getting in is sometimes a tricky business, aka primary stability, but once out in the water, It seems capsizing is very difficult to accomplish, which is very good. (aka secondary stability) I just have one complaint, its very susceptible to the current, so if I want to go South, but the current is East, the kayak will turn East. Basically, it doesn't track as well as I was hoping it would. Every few minutes, I found myself turning the kayak back towards South. However, for the price, I'm very happy. July 6, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Love our new kayak! My wife and I bought this kayak for my Fathers Day present. We are both novices and really love how easy this model is to get around our lake. Kayaking with my wife is a great way to start the day! June 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a great Kayak! This is my 1st Kayak was bought for my Birthday and something for my wife and I to do together. Light weight for its size and moves thru the water easily. Great to fish out of, so far I've added fishing rod holders ( surface mount) and bungees over the back hatch. June 11, 2014
