Customer Reviews:

Fenwick Methods Casting Rods 4 5 1 1
Excellent Versatility, Average Everything Else. I have the 7'4" model. Having the ability to put the rod in four somewhat distinct configurations depending on your presentation for the day is a nice bonus in a travel rod. I keep mine stashed in my van under the seat so I can stop by local lakes if a chance pops up and I don't have the rest of the my gear. The rod is nicely put together, the spigot ferrules are high end, and the action feels very much like a 1 piece rod. The reel seat is comfortable enough but nothing special and has a pretty dead feel to it so far as sensitivity is concerned. The cork is pretty nice and I like the multiple types for aesthetics and durability. The rod fights fish and casts great, but it on the lower end so far as sensitivity is concerned. Weight is about 6 oz and balance is average at best. All-in-all a nice stash in your car super versatile travel rod, but not a rod I would recommend for guys that fish a lot and can afford multiple higher end rods. September 25, 2014
