Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 485 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lighter than the more expensive paddles When I went in looking for a paddle I wasn't looking for a bargain. I was paying attention to weight. I was very surprised to find that this paddle compared to and weighed less than some $99 paddles on the floor. I like how there are 3 different length options so I can shorten it for the kids as well as the 3 position feathering options. I have a $90 cascade paddle and they are easily comparable for every day paddling. I did notice that the colors available are listed as red or yellow. This paddle is undeniably orange not red. Either way it's a great buy. September 25, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by good paddle on a budget While not the most robust this is the most economical paddle. We really liked their adjustable size and the durability. We gave them a good thrashing in the Chattahoochee river. They fared very well. September 24, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Handle pole is made with very weak aluminum. The price was good at $29. When I got to the register I saw 2 other identical paddles behind the counter that had both broke in the middle around where the adjustment holes were. I knew that was not a good sign but thought I would try my luck with one anyway. After my first day on the water I looked at the paddle and noticed a gradual bow to the whole paddle. I inspected the area around the adjustment holes and noticed stress marks on the aluminum. I knew if I attempted to use it again it would fail just like the returned ones I saw. What I really needed was an 11 foot kayak paddle so I was able to use the paddle ends to make one since no company makes paddles this long. In my case I was able to use the good parts so I am fine with that. I would not recommend this paddle to anyone other than a child or someone who is doesnt paddle hard. The way I see it is I should be able to paddle as hard and fast as I want so if a paddle cant handle that then whats the point of making it in the first place. Its like making a bike that you cant peddle fast on...useless. This company should re evaluate their R&D department; that is if they even have one. How could they release a product that is about to completely fail after its first use? Good thing I noticed before I set out on another trip. September 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Associate Your sales associate was very courteous and knowledgable about handling my trade-in. The original paddles I got were too short and I was afraid i'd be stuck with them, but I came in and the transaction went real smooth. September 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Must Have First time kayaking and paddle was just right for what I needed. September 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Casual Kayak Paddle I used it to paddle around a small creek on a tiny kayak. I'm 6'2'' and the kayak is designed for a smaller person. My kids were laughing. I extended to paddle to full length and paddled around. I had a great time. I raced with the kids in their canoe and it held up well to my strongest strokes. Then we transferred the paddle to the kids and they made the paddle shorter and also had a good time. We had no problems. We took it apart when we were done and put it in the storage on deck. I'm sure it is going to be fine because it is aluminum. Another fine product from Dick's! September 22, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Paddle snapped in half whil paddling This Pioneer paddle is of poor quality, as the one I purchased was used maybe 4 times and on the 5th, while paddling, the paddle suddenly snapped right in half at the center of middle tab holes. Clearly a manufacturing problem. Dicks has agreed to replace it. September 20, 2014
