Have camped for many years, I have found that the ground gets harder the older I get. I started out sleeping on a 2" foam pad, graduated to a Therm-a-Rest, on to a queen-sized air mattress, all of which were nice but I still was not resting very well. My fellow Scout leaders have cots so I joined them in getting one as well. WOW! This cot did it for me! It is definitely for car camp use but I'm good with that.
I found the frame on this cot to be very sturdy. Ease of set up is not bad, however, "clipping" in the second cross-member for the final set up is a little difficult so what your fingers! I am certain that when the canvas deck stretches over time it will be easier.
The canvas deck is pretty bomb proof. I would recommend to users to bring along a foam pad sized to the top and then place your bag on top. If you just throw your bag on the canvas deck and the night is cold, you won't sleep well.
Overall - a great purchase!

Easy to set up comfortable to sleep on. Much better than ground sleeping. Great for camping out of a vehicle not trail camping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CrazyJoe99 Good for the price
Good size, easy to fold out but the last piece was difficult to install. It got a little easier to assemble as the fabric stretched a little more. Putting some cushion between you and the cot, seems to keep you warmer from below and a little more comfortable. It seemed a little high off the ground for me to get out of the bed easily but that might just me, I'm not used to sleeping on cots.

Ok... it is exactly what one would expect... it is a cot. The quality seems to be on the higher end. It was a little challenging to put together the first time as the fabric had to be stretched out. My only concern with it is how the alluminum end pieces "snap" into place. It looks as if they would get a litttle bent out of shape over time... but that is going to require many mnay times of putting it together and taking it appart.

I used this cot 2-3 times before the hollow aluminum frame, bent ruining 2 nites of sleep.
I would stick to the military surplus made of hardwood which is indestructable.
