Merrell Men's Moab Ventilator Hiking Shoe 3.4 5 10 10
Great comfort, durable sole, but side support blew out Bought a second pair because I liked the comfort, long-wearing sole, and good looks. But the inner plastic side stiffner/support poked out through the outer over-layer and now looks very ugly to wear. It's hanging out flapping. This happened long before the sole showed any significant wear, so looks like a definite quality problem. Did not happen on my first pair. Will try to see if Customer Service will do something about it, since this should definitely not happen. They were only worn for casual use, no heavy hiking, climbing, etc that would have stressed the shoe. December 13, 2012
Read Before u write a review I have owned 2 pairs they are awesome I wear them out in about 7 months compared to 3 months with shoes the same price. Also People should read that these are not the waterproof ones only the gortex waterproof ones are. And that means resistant. And what I want to say to people I am not allowed to apparently but basic common sense should apply to writing a review May 28, 2012
Most comfortable hiking shoe I bought these two weeks before taking a trip to Moab, UT. In a week we hiked about 20 miles on rock and sand in the desert heat. Even with temperatures of 100+, my feet were exceedingly comfortable. Wide toebox. I wear these for long walks & find them very comfortable. They have also been durable for the 8 months I've had them. Because of the great ventilation they are not waterproof, but that isn't their purpose. February 21, 2012
False Labeling They say waterproof on the side... so why are they not waterproof, or even resistant. Don't get ripped off. Don't buy these shoes. September 22, 2011
my 12th pair of Merrells My second Moab pair, great in every single way. First pair is about 6 years old, but still holding strong. Working outdoor and construction sites, can't kill these shows. Love them! June 11, 2011
Wear all day shoe I wear this hiking shoe all day at work where I work in a plant and am on my feet most of the day. Shoes are comfortable and my feet don't sweat like they would in a work boot or leather shoe. Stylish also and can be worn with jeans or cargo shorts. March 13, 2011
Shoe Lace loop tore off After my first day wearing them, the shoe lace loop tore off. November 13, 2009
poor construction i purchased these shoes for everyday use, mainly because they were supposed to be water proof and because i thought merrell was a good shoe. they did not last 6 months, the sole separated from both shoes at the toe.they quickly let water in , then they gave off a horrible odor, i dont have foot problems or odor with any other shoe.just not happy with spending [$] like that. Great trail shoe These are great all round shoes for hiking, provided that you don't need additional ankle support. They are very light, and therefore reduce fatigue. The vibram sole is great, but could be thicker for rough rocky terrain. They have worn well, and are very water proof. The fit is great, and they have held up very well. I just hiked the 105 mile Tour du Mont Blanc in a pair, and they could not have performed better. August 28, 2009
two thumbs up no matter the terrain, these shoes make for a comfortable ride. January 23, 2009
