adidas Men's adizero 5-Star 3.0 Mid Football Cleat 3.9 5 12 12
light, durable, suprisingly comfortable First let me state these were purchased primarily for lacrosse as many of you may know the cleat patterns for lacrosse and football cleats is identical in Nike's world... well Adidas does not make a lacrosse cleat so we thought we would try their football cleats to add to possible options. My son tried on every cleat possible to see what was most comfortable and secure on his foot. This comes from having Nike Huarache 3s and even with the big Velcro strap his heel was never secure in the cleat causing very painful blistering!!! That was a top priority in this round of cleats. Traction was never an issue in both lacrosse and football as my son plays both and since he loved these so much in lacrosse he decided to keep using them for football as well. Adidas by nature runs a little small so while my son was in a 8.5 in most shoes he wore a 9 in Adidas. He has played a ton of lacrosse and football games and these still look like new. The smell terrible but by looks you would think they are nearly new! My son played lacrosse all summer in these and then played football and lacrosse all fall and even now is still active in lacrosse. He has had well over 100 games and practices with these... more than likely over 200 at this point and he plays at a very high level in both sports so the use wasn't standing around. In lacrosse he plays midfield so he has no choice but to run non stop in football he plays running back, defensive end, punt return, kick return, and gunner on the kickoff team. I normally don't take the time to post reviews but it just occurred to me that I have been so impressed with these I am looking for his next pair already before they are gone! I really think Adidas hit a homerun with these and hopefully they are looking to expand into the lacrosse cleat world so more lacrosse players realize they have a great option with Adidas. I have been a Nike fan my whole life especially with cleats and have worn a number of Reeboks as well from Pumps back in the early 90s to zigs recently and never thought of Adidas as a real contender in cleats world... I was so wrong.... Now that I think about it my daughter has been wearing some Adidas F50s for the last three years for lacrosse and I just gave them to a buddy of mine for his son to wear for soccer. December 23, 2014
Great cleat CAUTION these type of cleats run small!! Do not order your exact shoe size. Order .5 above your regular shoe size. I know from experience because I ordered the maroon and white colored cleats, and ordered my exact size and they killed my feet! Too Small. So i ordered another pair but .5 up and they fit perfectly. So I didn't want anyone else to make the same mistake i made. Hope this helps! October 6, 2014
Great Cleat The cleat is very lightweight, and durable. Im 14 and a wide-reciever/safety, they are perfect for skills positions. October 5, 2014
Hard to fit My son wears an 11 in just about every shoe. We ordered a12 and it was too small. Then for some strange reason the shoe went from 12 to 13. No half size after 12. Was a really light shoe but could not get the right fit so we returned them. August 30, 2014
Terrible We had our first scrimmage and within 10 PLAYS The cleats ripped leaving me playing with flopping ripped laces a ripped tongue and ripped eyelets. You can only imagine how hard it was to fly around and make blocks and tackles with a torn up cleat. Never again will I myself or let another person purchase these cleats. August 14, 2014
Great cleats Very lightweight, comfortable to wear, do not order larger than your foot size, feet become loose in the shoe causing blisters, my son loves them. Finally a color that matches his uniform- Vegas gold. August 12, 2014
Great My son loves the shoe. Light weight and great quality. August 11, 2014
#light very very very very very very very very very very light June 12, 2014
My son loves them! This is his 3rd pair, very light weight, last all season. July 17, 2014
Great Product My 13 year old loves them, I read reviews that these are best suited for skilled possitions... My son is a lineman, thats an insult, LOL. They broke in quick and he has wide feet. I used the Free UPS Ground shipping and had them in 3 days.. AWESOME!! July 17, 2014
