Rated 2 out of 5 by can not handle salt water fish The reel make a pop noise while reeling up a blackfish . It is a nice reel but can not handle big fish .Will not buy Wright McGill again . October 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Light, smooth, and tough Paired with my Fenwick MH spinning rod, this W & M reel provides effortless casting and retrieval. Pulled 7 largemouth bass through and over the weeds tonight; cake. The quality is obvious, the value is comparatively good. Worry-free fishing is more fun! August 9, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great spinning reel! I've never bought a Wright & McGill product before, but this was on sale last month for $60 and I had a coupon for $20 off, so I couldn't pass it up. Usually I only fish with Shimano reels. This looks great and reels great. It's very smooth when reeling. I ended up putting 15lb power pro on it and I have no complaints. Not sure if it's worth $160, but it's a great reel. June 23, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Can't handle larger fish I bought this reel because it was on sale for $60 (normally $150+). This weekend, I caught some large jacks (15 lbs+) and had the drag fairly tight. Although the drag worked nice, the handle itself would click forward indicating that the interior gear and handle gear were not holding. This would never happen in any of my Shimano, Diawa or Penn reels. I will be returning this reel this week. If you are using this reel in freshwater for pan-fish, it may be a good choice if you can get it for $60. However, it is not a reel that can handle a larger fish. June 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome reel Big fan of these reels, to date they have never let me down. June 12, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Smooth & easy casting At first I was a little skeptical about this product for the size, I do wish it was a little bigger but instead of putting mono line on there I put spider wire instead and was able to fit 125 yards of 20 pound test line and still have half a spool left of room. As for the casting it is great the stainless steel ball bearings allow me to cast easier but still get the same distance if not more than before. June 10, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wright & McGill Spinning Reel ( Victory Pro Carbon ) This is one nice reel ! I just wish that I have gotten more of them when they were on sales !!! They are better than my Penn of the same size .. You need to get one and try it.... June 9, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by A lackluster reel I picked this reel up for $60 on sale and I would only recommend that you buy this reel on sale. It is definitely not worth it's $160 retail price. I would say it's worth at most $80. but even at that price point point I would recommend a plfueger president limited edition or an Abu Garcia Orra or a Shimano. If you find this reel on sale for $60-$80 I would recommend giving it a shot because it's definitely a nice looking reel that performs rather well. However, I ended up returning this reel because I did not like the handle. It seemed very long and oddly angled. I caught two large mouth with it and reeling both of them in was rather annoying because I was not use to the angle of the handle. The extra angle length might be great for reeling in big fish because it might provide more leverage, but I just could not get use to the feel of this reel. After I returned the Skeet Reese, I got a Lew's Carbon Fire SK (Size 200) for $40 on sale. And even though this reel retails for only $50-$60 I would say that it's a better reel than the Skeet Reese. Even with the $160 price point I don't think Wright and McGill is as developed of a company as Lews, Abu Garcia, or Shimano. So, if you're looking for a reel with longevity I would recommend one of those companies. June 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Reel Great reel for the price (sale price $60.00). I don't think you could get a better reel for this price. Smooth casting, easy retrieve, and the drag was as smooth as any reel you could fish with steady and smooth no jerking.... May 31, 2016
