Customer Reviews:

Rated 2.6 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not bad for the price I purchased this kayak 2 weeks ago for $249. I had read the reviews and they mostly seemed unfavorable however, I decided to get it. It's the first time I've used a sit on top so at first it seemed wobbly but shortly after I got going and found my center of balance, it was fine. Many of the reviews say it doesn't track well which is kind of true however, I've never been on a kayak that I didn't have to paddle to stay exactly straight. Yesterday I took this boat on a 7 mile trip down a creek where I live and it handled really good. Overall, im happy with my purchase. June 27, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by wet ride Firt time out,my dry storage filled up with water? Why? Good thing I didn't put keys or phone in there. Tracking not so good .I can live with the poor tracking but why is there water and my butt is wet. Not crazy water but enough to fill dry compartment and make my butt wet? Why. Cant seem to find any answers. June 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Boat rocks Not sure who leaving negative feed back on the boat. But for the $ the boat is awesome. t's stable. Tracks well!!! No issues at all. I'm 5'8 so fits me well. All though I would like the 12 foot. Just for extra room. I throw my Yetti cooler on it and and I'm ready to go!!! I kayak a lot too. So. Ant beat it for the price takes a beating and keeps on down the river June 25, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Does not track, and the dry storage is not dry!! The first day I tool this kayak out, it was a windy day and the lake I went on was fairly busy. From the get go, I couldn't manage to get the boat to go straight. I had to paddle much harder than the others I was paddling with. When I would stop to rest, the boat would spin in circles. Also, this kayak is very unstable. When a wave would hit, I felt like I was going to tip right into the water. Another problem is that the dry storage between your legs is not dry! After an hour of paddling, the dry storage was half full of water. Once I was out of the water, I immediately returned this kayak. June 21, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Tracking....... My first Kayak and so excited this past weekend on the lake. At first I thought it was me the Sun Dolphin kept on tracking to the left. I would correct it and it would do it again. It was extremely frustrating ---- this never happened before kayaking in the Key West or Tahoe. I have read the reviews and having the same issues. it was an X-mas present so going back to Dicks to see if I can return it. I do like all the extras with the kayak. I could not think about taking it out on the ocean or in swift currents. June 21, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't waste your money! Experienced white water boater. This tracks poorly, difficult to do boating skills, ie skulling. Front sits low in water - needs weight in back. Body feels flimsy, can make walls dent in with hand. Would not put in rivers, maybe lake. Sit in boat about 6 inches. Makes a little harder to get out of the boat. May 31, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Do not buy My friend bought this and we laughed at him cause this kayak was all over the place. Im not bashing sun dolphin but this is not a good product. I have a cheap pelican kayak and it tracks alot better. May 30, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Kayak I love mine,, have had it a few years. Even took it in the gulf,, worked fine. I think people don't want a workout but basically want it to go by itself. Would take it in Rapids,, however for a day of fun on the river it works. May 4, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Stay Away from This Yak!!!!!! Horrible kayak. Will not track straight, requires constant adjustments to even head in the same direction. When you rest it immediately hooks to one side or the other and attempts a 180 degree maneuver. When I went back to the store I noticed a couple of this model in the rack that were obvious returns. I can't say enough about the great customer service Dick's in Colonial Heights showed me when I took it back. They immediately gave me a full refund and I purchased a Pelican Maverick to replace it. Rated 1 out of 5 by Stable as a log on water I bought and returned this thing within 3 hours, The manufacturer claims great stability, on land maybe. The second I set off into water it felt shaky, I started slow to get a feel for it and never felt comfortable. I decided it was all in my head and tried to test it out without babying it, within seconds I was in the water. This thing might be fun in a swimming pool but I sure wouldn't give more than $100 for it. April 16, 2016
