A rod for any occasion I have three tech specs and have been using them for four years now, which to me is incredible. I have had St. Croix premiers that have not lasted half that time. I mostly fish saltwater, both inshore and offshore and have put the 7 ft rods to the test catching reds and sharks. Great for bass fishing ponds too, I have caught a few 5 lb bass on the 6 ft throwing senkos. I can't say enough about these rods, great price too. February 28, 2015
Unbelievable sensitivity! Unbelievably sensitive rod for this price range. Felt bass pick up wacky rigged senkos and when they were barely moving. Bought the 7' soft plastic setup and rigged it with a nice casting reel spooled with low stretch mono. Can feel every tap from fish and structure on the exposed blank under the reel seat and still has enough backbone to haul 3 and 4 pounders out of the heavy cover. Just bought the spinning version and can't wait to try it. Don't hesitate if you're considering buying one. February 9, 2015
Great Rod For a lower price range rod this thing is great! I got the 6'10" and its great for pretty much anything I throw just wish there were more sizes to choose from other than that awesome. May 14, 2014
Impressive Rod I am Very impressed with this pole. I purchased this rod (6 ft 6 in mf) about 2 weeks ago, and in that timespan has been put to the ultimate of tests. I have already landed an 8 lb bass, a 6 lb, and multiple 5 lb bass and this pole has handled perfectly. I have not thrown many different lures on it, but I have thrown spinnerbaits and this pole is spectacular for them! I have also thrown lipless cranks which it easily handles as well. Normally I wouldn't buy a store brand rod like field and stream, but this pole is just a great product! May 2, 2014
great deal great rod for the price. 6'10" is great for everything April 16, 2014
Great Budget Rod I bought this needing a spare jerkbait rod because I do not like taking my expensive gear in my kayak. This rod was a great surprise. It loads and cast well. For jerkbaits/topwater you do not have to worry for sensitivity but it has enough for certain techniques. Would not use it for worms/jigs but it serves it's purpose. It balances well with a PQ strapped to it and is light for $60. I had the same set up on a St Croix Triumph and fished the same lures side by side and I must say this rod felt better. Nice surprise as long as you do not expect it to preform as a $200 dollar rod. March 28, 2014
