I liked this table [...]. Unfortunately table was sagging down in the center by almost an inch. They were not able to to fix it for me as it was a defective piece. I returned the table. [...] I wish there is better factory inspection on these tables.
Comments about Stiga ST4000 Table Tennis Table:
While it is very heavy, I was able to assemble it with just my teenage son to help. I wanted a 1" table top, so expected it to be heavy. Two of us loaded it into the pickup and unloaded by basically dragging it off the back. [...] It is helpful to read the directions step by step (a couple of times before assembling). The hinges appeared to be installed backward, but the directions clearly stated to check them and there was a picture with the correct orientation. I just rotated them. The net appeared 4 inches too short, but the directions in the pack stated it would stretch. So I stretched it before putting it on the brackets. Fits like a glove. The wheels roll nicely. My assembly time was just over an hour. But I wasn't in a hurry. So far I love the table. I would recommend upacking and transporting individual pieces if taking it up or down stairs.....

Comments about Stiga ST4000 Table Tennis Table:
We hired a professional insatller from the store. Best [$] I spent on this endeavor! The table was play ready in 14 minutes. It took a whopping 40 percent longer than the 10 minutes advertised on the box to be "PLAY READY", but it was worth the wait. This table is sturdy and plays well. I would recommed this product.

Comments about Stiga ST4000 Table Tennis Table:
Me and a friend of mine put this table together in about half an hour. Granted, I am a contractor and he is a mechanic, but the assembly was not nearly as confusing as I've been reading in other reviews. Also, I at first thought that two of the locking supports were installed backwards at the factory (as mentioned by several other reviewers). After spending some time considering drilling out the rivets and reassembling them correctly, I discovered that the brackets swivel 360 degrees; 30 seconds later everything was aligned correctly and assembly was not a problem. The only real issue for me was the weight - my friend and I are both well over 6'0 tall and physically fit, and it was all we could do to move and load/assemble this table. Other than that, we are very pleased.

I got this table about two months ago and I still can't stop playing. I did have a lower grade table before and the two don't come close, this one rocks.
Comments about Stiga ST4000 Table Tennis Table:
As said before, the table is very heavy. The packaging alone probably adds 40 lbs. My biggest gripe is quality control at the factory. The bottom support board on my table was cut and drilled wrong causing the table to be off center. I had to cut and drill a new piece of wood to fit. I was also missing hardware to complete the assembly. Once these problems were fixed the table works and looks great. I would recommend this table with the warning that you may have some problems with assembly.

Comments about Stiga ST4000 Table Tennis Table:
This is a nice table. Folds up with little effort, rolls easily across floors and has a solid top. ***THE CONS***The side skirts are flimsy which make it a little difficult to fold up. While table is still packaged it is very heavy and can hardly be moved by two grown men. "10 minutes to play" now that was funny I'm a skilled mechanic and carpenter and took me at least two hours to assemble. Table came from factory with two hinge bracket on backwards so had to be removed and installed correctly. Also came with four left folding arms instead of two left and two right, still works but is not right. Net brackets are cheap and flimsy but seams like most are this way.

Comments about Stiga ST4000 Table Tennis Table:
This table was great [...] assembly is not going to take 15 minutes. more like 2 hours. The last thing is that this table is super heavy. It took 3 full grown men to put it into my dads truck. Besides that it looks like an awesome table and I can't weight to play on it.
Comments about Stiga ST4000 Table Tennis Table:
First of all, this table is heavy. Setting it up took more like an hour, not the ten minutes stiga claims. In terms of performance, this table rocks. Its obviously not a tournament level table but it has a consistent bounce and nice surface.

Comments about Stiga ST4000 Table Tennis Table:
This table was a birthday and housewarming gift from my adult son, who is also a good and frequent player. We picked it up at the store (good customer service, helping us load the HEAVY carton on top of his vehicle), and took it home for "10 minutes from box to play," excited to get to use it that evening. His research had led him to choose this table, as a fast way to get going. Over two hours later, we two mechanically inclined guys stopped assembling, to wait for help lifting the HEAVY panels into place (two normal adults can't pull off this step in the assembly; a third is needed to guide the support tubes). Once together and ready for play, we found that the center of the table is 1/4" lower than the ends, and had to put shims under the wheels. The included net and hardware would be a bad joke even for a [$] table, and the net was too short to even reach the flimsy brackets; so I had to order a real net set, using c-clamps to hold the ends of the net straps to the supports while waiting for the real net. At first attempt to fold up the table for rollaway, I found that 3 of the 4 locking braces had been reverse-installed at the factory, and the fourth one was the wrong part. It took another hour lying under the propped-up table to swap brace positions, and re-install the wrong part in a way that it could function (relocated the bracket with 4 new holes in the bottom of the table). Each end of the 4 plastic playing surface corner protector caps protruded slightly above the plane of the playing surface and had to be fastened differently to be out of the way. Now it's a good table. Just be ready with at least 3 people, power tools, extra time, and lots of patience with the "10-minute" assembly instructions. I would not recommend this table, simply for its difficulty to make ready for high-level play.
