I hate the reviews that start off with "I've had this treadmill for 2 weeks". So after a year and 536 miles (it keeps count when you first turn it on) I can now write a review. I am a avid runner but for whatever reason hate to run outside in traffic. I run 4-5 times a week, anywhere from 2-5 miles at a time. I haven't had one issue with this thing. Dicks sells a kit to lube the belt and I've done that once in the 500 miles. Powerful motor, great for intervals and even running hills. I can't say enough about this thing. Rattles a little but all treadmills do. If your looking for a solid machine this is a good choice.

Got this treadmill installed from Dicks about 1.5 years ago. My wife and I both use it 2-3 times per week for walking and/or running. I also used it to train for run and it remains solid when using it at high speeds - I've only taken it to 12 mph. It goes to 15 mph. The inclination settings are also convenient.

We plug in an iPod to the 1/4" input jack. The speakers are average and distort the sound slightly when you turn the volume up, which you have to do to hear it over the sound. If you want a deep rich sound, use a different speaker set up. The built-in fan is nice and provides a gentle cool as you run.

The front handles include a heart rate monitor which isn't very accurate. You have to hold it for a long time - around 2 minutes - to get close to an accurate reading. I have jogged for 1 mile at 9 mph and know that my heart rate is high when I finish. Yet when I measure my heart rate using the handles, it reads 85-90, which I know is too low. I haven't tried the chest monitor that comes with it. I would imagine that is more accurate.

The treadmill comes with several different settings for manual, hill, random and other controls plus 2 user defined settings. We mostly use it on the flat fixed speed setting, sometimes with an inclination.

I would recommend putting a towel behind the treadmill because over time, tiny black granules from the tread can settle on the carpet in the back (not underneath it, which is fine).

Overall, we love this treadmill. It has been an excellent purchase.

Love this treadmill. Been using it at home for 3 months now. It's quiet and sturdy. Very easy to use. The only problem we have had with it is that the fan that is on the top console is not very strong and it tends to point the air towards the cieling and doesn't allow you much adjustment. Other than that, perfect!

Everything they said about this product in the reviews were right on. Sole has put a commercial like product in peoples homes that is affordable,dependable as well as comfortable to use. This treadmill was purchased as a Christmas present for my wife who is a avid jogger 3-4 times a week 6 miles per session she says it is by far the best treadmill she has owned (3 of them). I have to say at 6'4" and 260 pounds this treadmill does not seem to work harder when I get on it as for the 55" deck works for me jogging or running. Sole Im a believer!

Something being 'expensive' is always relative to the purchaser. So for me, this is the first time I've purchased something this expensive online. I saw it at my local Dick's Sporting Goods, and I decided to buy it online back in mid-November 2009. It's a great treadmill! To that point in November, I had only used gym quality treadmills, and it seems to be equal, if not better, in quality and functionality. It has several storage compartments for your water bottle, cups, cell phone, etc. It was easy to put together. The displays are bright, large, and easy to read. Toggling back and forth between increasing and decreasing the incline and speed functions are very smooth. I haven't moved it since it was delivered so it probably is easy to move, I just am not aware of that yet. And don't forget to use your ScoreCard number for the purchase or sign up for a ScoreCard account so you can accumulate points toward a reward certificate! Use that on new shoes or new workout gear! DEFINITELY buy it. You shouldn't regret it.

After seeing several treadmills that are worn out after a couple years I was looking for a solid treadmill. This treadmill has a strong motor and larger belt rollers that make it a better treadmill for jogging. My wife and I both do a combination of jogging and running and walking daily and it has worked well. My wife has had some trouble setting to the heart rate monitor but that was her problem since she was setting it too low. The deck feels fantastic, it gives a little to make it easier on your body but it feels solid. With a good set of running shoes you should never have knee or back pain from impact.

Good product, but it broke after about 6 months - - made a bunch of noise then quit. The folks at Sole are very difficult to get a return phone call from and it took several frustrating emails and phone calls to get service. Hopefully it won't break again for the amount of money being spent.

I have always been a member at the gym because I havent been able to find a good quality treadmill until I stumbled upon the Sole F80... I love it! I have been putting 25-35 miles on it per week. So far I have had it for a month.

I had an ankle injury in the Army in 2003 that basically sealed my fate according to the doctors who have said that I would never run again. I loved running and decided that the Sole Fitness F80 was going to help me get back to running again. After not running for 7 years, I have begun again. I was fitted for new running shoes which is VERY important. Dick's carries the ASICS brand running shoes which are what I totally recommend. Get fitted and start out walking and build your endurance to running in spite of your circumstances. The F80 is worth every penny and more. The only negative is there is a slight noise for the 0 to 2 incline adjustment then any incline adjustment following makes no noise. Having tried many treadmills, this one is the most solid and well rounded for the money. The warranty alone is above and beyond the others! Good luck and happy running!
