Rated 5 out of 5 by Really good ball with great spin on the green. Hard to beat these Maxfli balls. Urethane cover so they stop on a dime on the green on half wedge shots. Spin back a few feet on full short iron shots Lower compression for great feel Why pay $45/dozen when you can get the U3 for $15/dozen July 5, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Can't beat the stopping power for under $20 a dozen I tried these after trying TopFlite Gamer Tour (HX Diablo Tour is my normal ball). Wanted a ball with better stopping power on chips. Only lost about 3 yards going from Diablo to U3. Had lost 10-15 going from Diablo to Gamer Tour. The ball checks up VERY well. Good ball. Scuffs easily. July 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Goodbye U/3? The Maxfli U/3 was the best ball for my swing that I have tried. Played it for 90% of my rounds in 2014 and it was extremely long with just enough check to keep me closer to the pin. It appears to be a discontinued model but I would ask Dick's to reconsider - phenomenal ball at a reasonable price. May 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great ball I switched from the TopFlite Gamer to this ball. Way better ball! Feels softer, flies better, doesn't scuff on wedge shots like other $25doz balls. Great price online. Try this ball, you will love it! May 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great balls for the price I play golf for 50 years. I like trying new balls because I know I can find a very good for my game and I don't want pay a fortune for it. Maxfli U3 is very good with a good trajectory, long of the teebox and a good control and spin around the green. It's a pro V1 at a cheaper price. Good ball. April 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great golf ball I absolutely love these balls. They are especially great around the green. The urathane cover excels with the spin you can put on the ball. Whether you are pitching a low shot or a high chip, the U/3 will hit and check. today I hit a 60* lob from 41 yards. The ball took one bounce and backed off the green. I'm not used to that. I recommend these U/3 to everyone. As good as the pro v at half the cost March 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by maxfli u/3 golf balls I have used maxfli golf balls for 42 years and am having trouble waiting for all this snow to go away. If these are as good as the maxfli blues it will be a real pleasure hitting the links this year. March 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cheap ProV1 You can buy the ProV1 for $45. It's a 3 piece urethane ball. I bought the MaxFli U/3 for $15 a dz. ( 2 for $29.99). It's a 3 piece urethane ball. This was a nobrainer. Bought 10 dz. All set for next year! December 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Did everything needed them to do for a fair price Was the price a deal or steal not really but it was fair they could drop the price $9 and sell a whole lot more of them. I tried these as a replacement for the discontinued U4x with decent results. The U3's don't spin as much as the 4x's did but they do stop on the greens with the urethane cover just not within a foot of the ball mark like I'm used to. Distance between any U series ball other than the U2 are about the same there isn't a huge distance advantage the higher up you go. One thing I did notice however was a bit more side spin (had some balls actually hop and roll to the right and left) that the extra mantle layer of the U4 eliminate. All in all if you can get them really cheap I'd buy them again as an everyday, all around golf ball but for league/tournament play I'd either pop for the U6 line or deal with the too much spin from the regular U4 (non x) maxfli's. Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent Ball Clean look, does more or less what it says it will do, decent ball for the price. September 23, 2014
