Rated 5 out of 5 by Stops on a dime I usually play pro v1 but one day I was at Dicks and the salesman recommended theses balls and they were on sale so tried them. I will always pick these over any other ball from now on when I'm at DICKS. The problem is I live about 50 miles away from DICKS so I try to stock up every once in a while or Il order on line, but when I don't have these balls i shell out the cash for the pro v 1. I would even buy these balls if they cost the same as the pro V 1 . I wasn't a fan of any of the other Maxfli U balls but the u 4 is a winner!! They were durable yet soft and a dream from 100 yrds in. Distance off the tee seemed suitable, but when you get to a certain level its around the green that matters. February 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best mid-range ball on the market! Last summer, I found a U/4 while fishing around in the woods and didn't think much of it. I tossed it in my bag to go in my practice bin but later that day needed a "junk ball" for a long forced carry par 3. "Ah, I'll use that U/4...hmm impressive." A few weeks later I was at my local DSG and saw they had the U/4's BOGO 1/2OFF. Remembering back to the last results, I decided to give it a whirl. This ball is so much better then anything in the middle price range. Titleist's NXT can't carry the U/4's jock. This ball is ALMOST comparable to a ProV1. The only thing I can complain about is the aerodynamics of the ball is shot after one solid wedge strike due to scuffing, which for me (if it were a tournament) would be over a half dozen per 18 holes. That would get just as expensive as if I just play my normal ProV1x. Great job Maxfli! April 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A quality Urethane ball There are really only two types of balls on the market; urethane covers and everything else (typically called something like surlyn or some other funky name that is supposed to convey an adequate substitute for a soft durable cover, but isn't). I challenge anyone to line up a box of $48/dozen balls which shall not be named, and these Maxfli U/4's, and put on a blindfold (just kidding) and see if they can really tell a difference. These check up on greens, and play fades and draws just like the most expensive balls, but you won't be paying any pro's endorsement fee when you buy them. September 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Maxfli U/4 are FANTASTIC! If you are an avid golfer who loves the feel and distance you get with Pro-V's but don't want to spend the money on Pro-V's, then you have to got to try the Maxfli U/4. I picked up the Maxfli U/4 on a buy-one-get-one. I chose the U/4 versus the U/6 due to a higher swing speed (U/6 stated "for slower swing speeds.) I played this past weekend and I am hooked! It feels so nice off the club face and my distance is incredible. I have searched for years for an affordable ball that plays like a Pro-V and this one is it. Spend the $35-$40 on a dozen and you'll be hooked. Promise! Stats: Mizuno MP Irons Callaway M-D Wedges Adams Hybrid Taylormade R11s Driver Odyssey Putter Swing Speed: 9--110 mph September 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Play well for average players I have played Maxfli balls for years. These seem to have more feel and don't seem "hard". The only problem is they still don't float. August 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Premium ball performance at a great price This ball has the same greenside control and performance as balls costing twice as much. An absolute steal! May 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Ball Used to play Titleist Pro VI's until I tried this ball. Feels the same coming off the club and have great control when hitting into the green. Can't go wrong with this ball. April 3, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great ball for the money This ball feels soft off the club face but carries like a distance ball. I'm a 17 handicap so need a ball that won't break the bank when I lose a few. March 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great ball! The U4 is an awesome ball. Every bit equal to more expensive balls like the Pro V1. Lots of spin and just as long as every other ball on the market. Realize that pretty much all balls are designed to be at the USGA limit for distance. There is no such thing as "short" or "long" balls, they are all pretty much the same in this regard. There the U4 shines is in spin and consistency. The cover is quite durable and you can back them up on approach shots easily because of the cover. Great product. March 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Long off the tee U/4 long off the tee with great feel Always used Titliest until now U/4 a golf ball worth trying February 4, 2015
