Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy Kayak Carrier It is a great carrier for a kayak. Easy to put on and take off. Reasonable price. January 20, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Do not buy I don't have a rack on either of my cars for my new kayak, so when I went to Dick's to see what my options were, I was pointed to this item. The kid who showed it to me said it was very easy and a big seller. Considering I need to load, unload, and strap in my kayak by myself, it sounded like it would be ideal-from what I was told. Boy, was that completely off base. This product is a joke! It's not easy to use, the straps are pretty flimsy (what the heck are we paying for with foam blocks and the cheapest straps you can get?). Not to mention, forget using this in anything other than stagnant weather. The foam blocks fly off so easily with the slightest breeze. Also when you load the kayak , the blocks move too easily, making it more difficult to properly arrange and secure, which is pretty difficult when you're already trying to support a heavy, bulky object. This product was a complete waste of money, and all it brought was a ton of unnecessary frustrations and prevented me from kayaking. I wish I would have looked this product up and checked into reviews. I wouldn't have wasted my money and time. Too bad Dick's only sells this product, and not a decent one! Very disappointing. I definitely would not recommend purchasing this product. September 7, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by works ok For the price this works ok. The pads work well to not warp my board as the middle rack on my jeep is a little taller than the windshield and back. It's good to have all the straps. Held the board to the jeep on an hour drive, on the highway July 14, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Straps do not stay tight. But this from my wifes car the straps would not stay tight even the slightest pressure on either end would loosen them. Ended up using pool noodles and ratchet straps much cheaper way more secure June 26, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by DO NOT BUY This product is a waste of money. I bought it with my kayak thinking it would be an easy way to transport it. It definitely takes two people to use. If it is even slightly windy, forget it because the blocks will not stay. The worst part is, I have used the kit once and will not be able to use it again because the straps have begun to rip. Horrible, horrible product. June 22, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Carrier Kit I was not satisfied with this product. There was a slight wind the day I purchased the kit and tried to use it. The wind kept blowing the foam blocks off the roof of my car. There were only 2 of us so the other person kept putting the foam blocks back on the roof and quickly had to lift the kayak to avoid them blowing off again. The straps made a lot of noise while driving making me stop several times as I thought they were coming untied, but they were not. June 2, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not worth the money We bought two of these to bring new kayaks home. Quickly regretting. First the straps are tight to the car body and door seals causing damage to the car. While pulling the straps tight (that won't stay tight) you can see slight denting of the roof. With extended use I see more more body damage. And even with the strap tight enuff to slightly dent the roof the foam blocks still started turning sideways at less then 45mph. Used less then 4 miles and cost more in damage then a good roof rack. Rated 3 out of 5 by Haven't used the product yet. I haven't used it yet so I can't evaluate it yet. I did buy a kayak and that I would recommend. Your salesmen were both knew the product and were very helpful. March 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by simply functional Purchased this to move a new kayak home. This proved a relatively inexpensive option, and was easy to figure out. I had the kayak loaded and strapped down securely in less than ten minutes after checkout. Versital with a number of configurations possible, this is a good choice for the time being. Rated 3 out of 5 by Needed a lil Tweaking... The idea is a solid one if one does not have a roof rack. The straps that come with this are not very good. I had to upgrade those. Other than that it is less $'s this way than a $400 roof rack... Just saying... September 23, 2014
