Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by 5 Stars for excellent value I'm the kind of golfer that winces when my $4 Pro V bounces off a cart path, which unfortunately was happening quite a bit. I'm currently a 14 hdcp and I've been as low as a 10. My game needed some work and I finally had some time to devote to getting more consistent. I couldn't justify spending the money on Pro V's with the state of my game but still needed a good ball to get through the tough stretch. I actually found a Gamer Tour while searching during another "some good, some bad" round, ended up finishing the day with it and thought it was a pretty good ball at the time without any other knowledge about it. Afterward I did some research and saw that the Gamer Tour was a 3 piece ball, had some nice reviews and the sale at Dick's cinched my decision to give them a try. The Gamer Tour provides very nice spin and holds the green nicely. Distance wise, with my Irons, I'm getting more with the Gamer than I do with the Pro V but to be fair, it feels just a bit harder off the club face. Driver is about the same. The ball flight seems to be higher than the Pro V and it putts well too. I'm glad to say after 2 weeks my number is finally headed in the right direction. One con that I noticed and others have pointed out is that I definitely shave a little off the cover on hard wedges and the ball was pretty beat up by the end of the round, in fact it was starting to look sad at the turn but I'm certainly not that precise a player that a couple scuffs on the ball would make a difference. It's definitely not a Pro V but if your game needs works or if the high price of the Pro V is an issue, the Gamer Tour gets the job done nicely. I'm saving the Pro V's for money matches and will use the Gamer Tour for casual rounds. August 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Value Great value for the money. They damage easily, but worth it at the price for the play. August 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great ball Love this ball ! I hit it really well , far and straight ! Need to buy some more August 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great performance for the price Very good spin on the greens. I hadn't used these in a while and was pleasently surprised. August 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Poor Man's Pro V1....... Being a 9 hanidcap this ball reacts well on the green and the distant is as good or better than a Pro V1....the costs is well below $50 a dozen. A great value and super ball....others will disagree tho. August 12, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good everyday ball I play to an 8. These balls offer good distance and feel with every club. Don't spin as hard as a ProV, but provide good short game control. August 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by BEST VALUE IN GOLF Had been playing project a from taylormade but i still lose one to two sleeves a round so gave the gamer tour a shot. Pretty soft feel, good distance, and tremendous spin when you need it. ABSOLUTE BEST VALUE BALL!!! This ball smokes the competition! July 24, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by This product not up to Gamer standards The cover on this product is too soft. You literally scuff the cover hitting the ball for the first time out of the box. You will have to shave the fuzz off the ball by the time you reach the green if you want to put the ball. I would suggest staying with the Gamer 2 July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top Flite Gamer Tour ball is excellent for my swing speed. I started using this ball several years ago. Then the price started to increase so I switched to a different brand. When I saw Dicks had them on sale for two dozen @ $35.00 I couldn't pass up this price. There are 14 of us in my weekly group; all retired. We play 3 days a week so we are always looking for golf ball deals. When the price is right, we jump on the deal. July 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This isn't what you think of when they say Top Flite A good leap forward was the Top Flite D2 "feel." These are a big leap forward from those. This ball plays like a Titleist ProV1 for me. It feels just like one to me. Distance= SAME Spin= slight edge Titleist Durability= slight edge Gamer. The cover is more durable and the spin is probably the tradeoff but it is minimal each way. I can stop a 7 iron on a dime and back a sand wedge up 4 feet with the Gamer. I don't need any more spin. Price= Gamer $4 each ProV and $1.50 each Gamer No brainer Gamer is the ball for me. I love Titleist but I love my cash too. July 11, 2014
