Buying Guide

Gain confidence each time you step to the ball with RocketBladez HL Irons. Each club is specifically engineered for higher loft and increased playability. An ultra-thin face design works with an improved Inverted Cone shape to promote incredibly fast ball speeds and maximum distance. A lower Center of Gravity promotes a higher launch angle and equips the TaylorMade« RocketBladez HL Irons with unrivaled forgiveness across the entire club face.

FEATURES:

  • Club heads specifically engineered for higher loft and greater playability
  • Increased loft in each club promotes easier launch for ideal flight trajectory
  • RocketBladez Irons flex and rebound at impact, increasing the speed of the face to promote faster ball speed and a higher, stronger ball flight
  • Ultra-thin face design and improved Inverted Cone shape to promote consistently high ball speed and distance on off-center hits, especially low on the face
  • Inverted Cone design influences how the face flexes and rebounds at impact to control the angle at which the ball leaves the face, promoting straighter shots and a tighter dispersion
  • 9 grams of saved weight from a new, shorter hosel is strategically redistributed to optimize the Center of Gravity, promoting a higher launch angle, higher peak trajectory, and steeper decent angle
  • External and internal notches in the hosel make it easy to bend the head to adjust the lie angle
  • Durable Nickel chrome finish
  • RocketFuel™ 85 Steel Shaft
  • RBladez 47.5g Rubber Grip
  • TaylorMade

Rated 4 out of 5áby 6 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5áby Good distance and flight is pretty straight and high i bought these clubs yesterday and like the height and distance I am getting. I had Top Flite XLs before and getting on average 15 to 20 more yards per club with these. I love the sound and if you dont hit it just right still goes mostly straight and still good distance. this is only my second year golfing consistantly and very happy with them. only complaint is i cannot hit the 4 very well. just going to take more practice and paitence on my part. overall very pleased though. Rated 3 out of 5áby good sticks Quality similar to other Taylor made irons. I would recommend to average players July 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Advanced technology feel in these irons Played these once in a rental set earlier in 2014 and decided to buy them. They are a nice upgrade from my Callaway X-20 irons. Nice launch and solid feel. I like the A wedge. July 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Taylor Made Irons The Taylor Made Irons arrived at my home in five business days. The golf pro at Dick's Sporting Goods was very knowledgeable and helpful. My club head speed, etc. was evaluated on a computer along with a couple of helpful hints from the golf pro helping me to find the appropriate clubs. July 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5áby Got my distance back I have played the same forged irons for 20years. I am a 4 handicap player. I was in a car accident a few years ago and have rods in my back so swinging my very heavy clubs had to go. I also had lost almost 2 clubs distance from where I used to hit it. I agonized over which clubs to get (with a very limited budget in mind). It really was FRUSTRATING that taylor made has so many different clubs (HL, HP, Tour etc.). I am very happy with these HL irons. I played 9 holes last night and had 7 birdie puts. They definitely go MUCH higher with very little effort. I got all my distance back (155 8iron). The downside is you cannot get a 3iron to match. I replaced my woods also with the callaway X Hot driver and 3w so now I have a very large gap between my 185yd 4iron and my 255yd 3wood. I am going to buy a 19degree X hot wood today. it is very close to the loft of my 4iron, but since it is much longer, I am hoping it fills my yardage gap. Overall, I am very glad I bought these. The effort to hit them is so little it is saving my back and allowing me to practice more. My swing speed is only 86-94mph, but I hit the ball very solid. I am VERY glad I did not listen to the sales person and get regular flex shafts. I can feel the shaft load with the 85gram Stiff steel shafts. If I swing too hard they are very different from my S400 shafts I used to have. I could swing those at 110% and they would still go straight, I find that I have to swing 80% to get the most out of these irons, any harder and they start to spray (which is a good thing I guess, it forces me to swing within myself). Even though the graphite shafts are even lighter, the graphite shafts have much less consistency with torque so I am very happy with the steel stiff shafts I chose. Lastly, the only other downside is that for good players, these clubs are very hard to work the ball, if you want to hit a fade or draw or lower or higher (you will never need to hit these higher...), it is very difficult as they were designed to hit the ball straight. For the price they were the best deal around! June 28, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5áby Solid club I bought these because I was looking for a higher launch from my irons, because I usually hit a low trajectory ball. It delivered on a higher ball flight and the distance is still there. I was a little suprised it didn't have the speed pocket like the regular rocket blades , but I guess it doesn't make a difference. I'll never know since they didn't come equipped with the pocket.
