Black Ops Full Metal 1911 Scorpion Airsoft Gun - Black 4 5 8 8
Best Gun I Have Seen This is the best deal I have ever seen for a gun of this quality. Its price was very cheap for a high performance gun with the full metal construction. Blow back pistols usually have a low fps but not this one. I have used it many times and it never fails. It does use quite a bit of C02, but that is to be expected with every blow back gun. I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for a great air soft pistol. December 4, 2014
Best gun for the price and convenience of C02 power I've had this pistol for almost a month now and I'm very pleased with it. Having the convenience of it being CO2 powered is a plus since other airsoft pistols are mostly of the green gas type and unless you have a local airsoft pro shop to got to get a can or two you'll be having to order it online unlike CO2 which can be bought almost anywhere that has a sporting goods section. Only thing is unless Dick's starts selling extra mags for this pistol you'll have to look online for them which can be hard to do if you don't know where to look. Finally the price can't be beat since other gas blowback guns in this price range anywhere else would be all plastic and wear out quicker. October 26, 2014
Great training gun I purchased the Black Ops Full Metal 1911 Scorpion Pistol as an introduction to safety and training for my twelve year old daughter. I selected this pistol after careful review for the features that I thought would be beneficial for her training before firing a large caliber pistol. 1) Weight and feel. I have a Colt 1911 and this is very accurate on both. 2) recoil. This gun has the blowback feature. Part of the how to handle the gun when firing. It is worth noting that with the blowback has a little recoil feel as well, which helps me to teach her about larger calibers and how they will react. 3) loading and unloading. This is a little tougher since a real 1911 holds 7 rounds as to where this holds 16 + a Co2 cartridge. But it still helps in teaching how to feed a gun with a magazine. Further, when the magazine is empty the gun remains breached, just like the real one. 4) Low report noise. Great for verbal instruction without yelling over hearing protection. Note: Eye protection was used. 5) Price. No need to go to a gun range and able to shoot my backyard and letting her see the results of shots that missed target. (no property damage). Overall, I am very pleased with the results and the gun is very fun to shoot, it is safe to say that when she moves on to bigger guns, I will still be using this as a plinking gun! For a training gun for children or beginners I think this is a great tool. September 20, 2014
Excellent quality, nice safety unlike KWA's that accidentally activates Excellent piece, accurate and reliable. Shoots harder than top of the line KWA. I even bought the extended warranty for $8 in case I have any problems. July 27, 2014
pass this by Very heavy gun; we got one with a laser sight--which was very cool to have; however, it didn't have very good instructions to set it and it was hard to get set; the sights on the pistol were very accurate without the laser. So if the gun had worked; worst though was that the gun would work for a few shots then stop working; got it to work again and then it quit again. We took it back to Dicks--who like the great retailer they are--took it back for an exchange. We chose another brand pistol and it has been great. July 12, 2014
Lots of fun good cheap practice Great little gun put 300 -400 rounds through it no malfunctions very acurate does like.to use a bit of co2 because of blow back function but good for safe indoor training when you can't get your real .45 to range May 15, 2014
Not worth the price I got this because it looked good from the product description. I thought if I paid a little more, I would get quality. It has a very realistic feel. I own the real 1911, and they have the same weight and grip. There is even a little recoil felt when firing. The slide locks back when the magazine is empty which is realistic. The hop up is inside the slide. I adjusted it all the way down and it still shoots 2ft high. The rear sight appears to be adjustable but it isn't. My spring is already wearing out and I get frequent failure to feed. It is basically a single shot now as I have to slam the slide foreword in order to fully seat the slide. The barrel's orange tip is threaded if you wanted to add a cosmetic silencer. The noise of the escaping gas is quite loud compared to others. The trigger has a crisp pull, but not unreasonably heavy. The magazine is metal and houses the CO2. It is very difficult to hold down the spring and feed bbs one by one. It holds 20, but you still need at least one spare. The base of the magazine doubles as the wrench to pierce the CO2. Mine was so loose it fell off during a battle and was never found. Additional mags cost about $25 each. It burns through the CO2 as it operates the blow back and shooting bbs over 400 fps. I get 40 rds per CO2. That is terrible compared to most other pistols. I have another less expensive non blowback pistol that gets about 125 rds per CO2. You must use .20 gm bbs or heavier. Lighter ones will fly erratically, fracture, and likely ruin the gun. As a general rule never use cheap bbs. Any gun with fps >400 must use .20's or heavier. To summarize, it is a realistic nice looking pistol that has great power. If you manage to actually hit someone, they will cry their story for at least as long as the welt lasts. Seriously, it will break the skin at close range, so don't be that guy. The terrible accuracy and expense of the CO2 really took the fun away for me. I had to use a mini adjustable wrench on the magazine until I coughed up the $25 $8 S April 22, 2014
