Rated 5 out of 5áby This product holds up well to water and oil work zones. I work as a diesel mechanic and the one piece sole holds up well to oil and water. I like the idea that it is not over insulated since I work outside in winter conditions, my feet stay warm and dry plus my feet don't sweat from being over insulated. I have also used this boot while doing Boy Scouting hikes and I like the support that it gives to my ankles while in rugged terrain. March 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great boots I don't understand how waterproof you guys that are complaining expected a leather boot to be. I've been wearing these for years and they're great boots. Woods, rivers, mountains, and working. Haven't let me down yet. March 6, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5áby Surprised I read the reviews here and was surprised at some of them. In 2004 I bought 40 acres of wilderness property in Canada...so I purchased some LL Bean hiking shoes and I had to wrap my right foot before hiking any distance because it would rub my heal raw. That winter I found a Field and Stream hiking boots and bought them. After 10 years of abuse and their keeping my feet warm and dry and being very comfortable in rain, snow and streams there is a split in the left boot so it leaks...so they will be semi retired and I have bought a second pair. I have read these reviews, I am not sure what people expect these are not $250+ shoes they are less than $100...so I just bought a new pair...and I am 70 so I will be 80 the next time I need to replace them....."will they let me wear them in the nursing home" February 8, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5áby Stiff boot soaks up water like fabric Boot bends every way but right. Hit the snow feet froze leather turned dark in 3 minutes January 11, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Boots I love these boots! I have used them as work boots the past two months and so far they have been durable and extremely comfortable. My last boots were from a top of the line work-boot company and while they were durable they were also horribly uncomfortable. My boss suggested I try some 'hiking' boots from Dicks. These boots have literally been a game changer for me. I even wear them casually. I highly recommend them. December 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Good boots. Very happy with them. I got these a year ago in 400 g thinsulate primarily for hunting, walking in wet fields and woods, etc. I live in North Carolina and also do some hunting in Texas. With proper woll socks they have been plenty warm. I've never had cold feet and don't sweat too much. I'll admit that they wouldn't be comfortable for summer walking, but that not what I got them for. This is a good waterproof boot. I've never had a wet sock and wear them plenty in wet grass and have crossed streams in them. Water has been over toe box and feet still stayed dry. They have a roomy forefoot. With a thicker wool sock this is fine. There's enough room for my foot to swell some after walking a couple/few miles so I appreciate the roominess. But when I wear a thinner sock on warmer days they are a little too roomy. These are perfect for what I bought them for. They are not "hiking" boots. Sure I hike a while to get to a stand or out with the dog, but I wouldn't recommend them as "trail hikers" for backpacking or a day hike, primarily because of the roominess. But for walking a while and then sitting in a stand for a few hours they are perfect. They seem to be wearing fine. All leather is in great shape. I wear them on pavement more than I should but haven't noticed excessive wear in the heel. No complaints about the quality at all. December 13, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5áby Somewhat good boot The pair I have are good but right where the eyelets are on the ankle starts to hurt after an hour or 2 of hunting. Ive had to leave the woods due to the pain on my ankle bone from the pressure of the metal backing. They are lightweight and waterproof but now I have to find a different pair for this year. Dicks just need to submit feedback and have them move that metal forward some. October 22, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5áby They are not water proof Dont waste your money on these bots it says water proof but there not. March 2, 2015
