Rated 1 out of 5 by DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS GARBAGE Coming from over 2 decades in competition and working on bikes I can say hands down dbx is the absolute worst brand on the market.the components are cheap and outdated.most common problem is derailers popping off August 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Durable Use this to go to work on a daily basis. Holds up well with rough roads. August 31, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bad product. So I bought this bike only cause I was at Beavercreek for month and I had to commute to work which was too far to walk and too near for a car. I had trouble with it from the first day . even when they were fitting it up they Had trouble with the tyres and the handle bars. But they fixed it (I thought). So in two days the handle bars were loose and I had to go back to get it tightened. In 6 days the front wheel started to wobble and it just got real hard to pedal and made a strange noise with every turn and the plastic of the pedal broke off. So I took it in. And the nice ppl at the store replaced it with a new piece . that should have been the end. But the very next day. As I went into work the due raulier on the back broke and stalled my bike and I had to push it through pouring rain for two miles. That was that. Took it back and got my money Back. The cycle is of a poor quality. Unsafe and unreliable. The manufacturers must take notice. But thanks to guys at dicks for helping me out though. The manager was very understanding and promptly refunded me August 27, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheap and Low Quality I should have known the price made it too good to be true, after taking this bike home the chain messed up within minutes of riding preventing gear shifts. Then while making my way back home the handle bars give out and now no matter how I tighten the lock for them they still rotate freely within the brace. This bike isnt worth what I paid and not even worth the effort to take to the trash. Lesson learned. August 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great buy The bike was worth every penny. Great ride great price August 14, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't buy Absolute piece of garbage. Have owned bike less than a month and its been at the store being fixed longer than it's been at my house. Don't buy but if you do, better get the insurance plan. If I were doing it again, I would either not buy one at all or buy a better (more expensive) one. Horrible. August 5, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by OK as long as you want a throwaway bike I bought this on sale at Dick's for $99 for my 13 year old son to use- Men's small frame that he will outgrow by next summer. Do NOT expect the components on this bike to last a long time or stand up to much abuse. Based on the 20 miles or so of light trail riding he did last weekend here is what I can say so far (you or your child will certainly hone your bike mechanic skills on this one, which is not necessarily a bad thing): 1. The tubes are prone to punctures- have patch kits, tools, and pump on any ride. The tires are a bit oversized for the rims (poor quality/spec control) which makes it real easy to get off the rim but also tricky to ensure the bead seats properly when re-inflating. When we got back from our weekend he changed the OEM tube to a better quality aftermarket -we'll see if that helps. 2. The brakes need CONSTANT just about before every ride. Again, lower quality components and loose tolerances. 3. Make sure you do a safety check before every ride and check for loose nuts, etc...things seem to come loose on this bike, but do not overtorque fasteners, threads feel like they will strip easily, especially on smaller hardware. 4. So far shifters seem to be holding up OK. You get what you pay for. If you want a throwaway bike for a growing teen that will outgrow the bike in a year or two then this bike will be OK and your kid will learn maintenance as well. But, if you want a bike that you plan to ride regularly and keep for years then do not waste your time and save your money to invest at least $500 in a good quality bike that will stay in tune, lessen your frustration, and last you for years. I recommend this bike as long as you understand these caveats. July 30, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bike The bike not even spend a day before begin to break apart July 15, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by DBX Adult Cascade Mountain Bike 2014 I was excited to get a new bicycle and pleased with the quality of service at time of purchase. However, the bicycle is not living up to basic standards of quality and safety. On the first day, I was going up a hill and the right pedal snapped. Today the hand brakes appeared to be in an incorrect position. That's because the handle bars slipped at the fitting. I do not know if the handle bars are stripped or not. I'm really disappointed because I like the bicycle. But due to problems that began the first day I rode it, I'm not sure if I want to keep it. I don't want to risk getting injured or worse. I'll probably try to return it for store credit and get a different bicycle. July 8, 2014
