Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Jacket Fit is a little small I think but looks very nice and is warm. I would purchase again. March 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by A North Face classic North Face does it again with another high quality jacket to their collection. Great quality jacket that insulates well and cuts the wind. Only request would be a interior pocket for phone. March 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Style My first time buying north face gear but really like the fit and of course styling. As they say"look good, feel good, play good. March 20, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by alright, but with that classic GOUGED north face price and so so performance This jacket is alright, but I kinda regret buying it for $100. That's when it's on sale, when at full price I think some people are actually are paying $150 or more for it. The good is that when layered over a hoodie and long sleeve shirt and the only two pockets on it are zipped it's warm, not bulky, stylish and has fair coverage. The bad is that it's "plasticy" and noisy, the tiny "jeans sized" zipper is finicky and hard to access, when you want it for it's full warmth potential you must leave the only two pocket zippered leaving nowhere for the hands, the lining on the inside of the only two pocket is merely lame netting that feels like it will tear if not careful though handy for ventilation purposes, there is no inside chest pocket for valubles or a cell phone, lastly the tiny zipper track pulls at what little stubble I have on my neck. Rated 5 out of 5 by The fit and look is great 5 star I love it and it is a warm but light jacket March 15, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Way thinner than old Chromium Just returned this. Compared to a Chromium I bought in 2013, this one is paper thin and not nearly as warm. It's not even as heavy as an Apex Bionic I bought last year. It also has an annoying crinkling sound/feel. Overall, it just felt cheap to me. I did like that the heather black color has the discreet, same color logos. The black heather also has a slight bit more character than standard black. Picture an uber dark charcoal if you will. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Jacket This is a Fantastic mid range coat that covers cold and semi cold. It keeps that crazy wind out and allows your body heat to keep you warm. Its very durable as it just wipes clean. It comes in many attractive colors as well. Its a must have and buying on sale at 40% off is a steal! March 9, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for wind, light rain, and snow. But missing key features. Right when I saw this jacket, I went for it. After I tried it on, I loved the feel of the faux fur and the loose, yet well insulated structure. After I purchased it and wore it for the first time, I found myself reaching for my chest as though there were a pocket there like most of The North Face jackets feature. So I checked the inside for a hidden pocket like my other jacket features and realized there simply wasn't any other storage other than the side pockets. And the side pockets are shallow - I've lost a lot of belongings if at any time I did not zip up the pockets, especially after sitting down. The sleeves have an amazing feel. Unfortunately the cuffs are secured using Velcro rather than the preferred elastic string with adjustable closure. Of course, with those features retained from this jacket's design set aside, the Chromium Thermal Shell Jacket lives up to what all TNF jacket's do: Outstanding craftsmanship, unparalleled quality, and superior technology. If the features I mentioned are things you can live without, I recommend this jacket if you actively hike, bike or venture to windy areas. I've worn this jacket in weather with wind chill values reaching 20 below and felt nothing. **Just as a suggestion, never buy a jacket in shades of white... especially if you plan to use it almost daily. You'll find yourself washing your jacket quite often. February 28, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Looks great. Big jump in size. I love the look of this jacket. Great color combo. Very warm for how thin it is. Only complaint is the big difference in a L vs XL. The L was too snug to put anything other than a t shirt under and even then it wouldn't have been ideal. The XL is more like a XXL. I have plenty of room to layer but sinching the sleeve tabs makes them dig in. Just feels a little sloppy. I'm not exactly athletic so I need a little extra room but not this much. Overall though I like it. February 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The perfect jacket Blocks wind, comfortable, light weight this jacket is well worth the money the only thing is I wish it had inside pockets February 24, 2015
