Field and Stream Boots weather the first 15" snowfall of the season!
They are comfortable the first time you put them on. They are at least modestly waterproof. I am happy I bought them.

Only had boots 2 weeks and worn 4-5 times and are leaking!!! Only a recreational hunter who avoids puddles and streams and right foot is wet definitely not worth money.

The boot is lightweight yet warm (1000gr). My feet didn't sweat like I thought they might when walking. Haven't challenged the waterproofing yet. They would not work well for wide feet. (They are almost better geared for women I think.) But I got the size I needed to be comfortable, and they did not cause any discomfort in my knees or hips or feet even though I trekked some pretty rugged terrain with them for over 2 hrs. Got them on clearance for great price, so can't complain too much. (Not sure i would recommend paying full price for them though. There's probably a better boot at the full price range.) I liked the fact they come up high on the ankle which is really good for wet/snowy conditions and ankle stability on slopes (which I hunt alot). But some may not like it up that high on the leg.

Hardly Need Break-In
I bought these boots for my late season deer hunt coming this December. I have worn them several times to "Break-in" however, I find that the boots are already quite comfortable. I have worn them for extended stationary periods as well as walking several miles, both in freezing temps, and I have found the boots to be plenty warm, and suprisingly lightweight. I was particularly suprised at the fact that I could very easily jog in the boots. I would recommend these boots for anyone looking for a good winter hunting boot. They are probably too hot for active hunting in temps above 55 or so.

These boots are great. Very comfortable and light. Easy to put on and take off and at least so far they are waterproof. They were well worth the money.
