A high abrasion rubber EasyTone outsole uses balance pods to create natural instability that increases muscle activation in three key leg muscles; the gluteus maximus, thighs and calves.

What happened?? I read the prior post about these shoes but went ahead and bought anyway. Mistake. Brent is right. These shoes are uncomfortable and look like they'll fall apart quickly. A real disappointment compared to the originals. Going back to New Balance. March 15, 2011
Noticeable Decline in Quality Looking to replace my pair of the Rbk Fld Magistrate plate shoes (purchased in 09), I found this year's model to be noticeably lacking in quality (workmanship and materials). From the lace eyelets that you now can't push laces through to the side panels, too many corners have been cut. Too bad, the orginals were great shoes. January 22, 2011
