LIVESTRONG by Johnson LS9.9IC Indoor Cycling Bike 4.5 5 24 24
Quiet, sturdy, but minor assembly instruction flaw Just received and assembled my bike yesterday. Using a plastic tool box to support the bike, I was able to assemble it without a helper. The only problem I had was mounting the computer. The instructions did not show the included mounting bracket or how/where to mount it. A phone number to call if you have problems is included, but using some guess work I was able to figure it out. Shipping was via Estes. I did not receive a notification that my estimated shipping date of 3/18/13 would not be met. I talked with very friendly Estes employees and after waiting all day 3/20, I received my bike at 5pm. Summary... great product but some minor assembly and shipping flaws. March 21, 2013
LIVESTRONG LS9.91C LOVE IT! Easy Assembly, solo in less than an hour. Ride daily, not disappointed at all. February 4, 2013
Heavy duty product, great for fit figures and getting fit figures I am so please with my new exercise bike. My husband and I have both used the bike on a regular basis. I have competed in several triathlons and I am using my bike for conditioning during the winter months. It has been fantastic. November 27, 2012
Great Bike!!! Terrible Seat... I was concerned about getting a spinning cycle that would hold my frame. I'm 5'9" and 260 lbs with a large build. Most home exercise equipment does not support me and bends/creaks when I really put pressure on it. I usually require gym quality equipment. This bike did not disappoint. It has a very solid construction and VERY quiet. I got it so i could have something in my living room to watch TV while I exercise (me running on the treadmill shook the whole house and is now in the basement). I've put it through my best and it held up to the challenge. The only reason I didn't give it 5 star is because of the seat and a little play in the handle bars. The play in the handle bars was not significant when i ride standing up. I hardly notice it if I'm concentrating on the exercise routine (it's not noticable at all sitting down). The Seat however was replaced after the first ride. Even my 110 lb wife said it was uncomfortable. The seat and handle bar adjustments are very versitle and can adjust well for me and my wife (she is 5'2"). If you are under 5'2", you may have trouble getting the right height...i would recommend going to the store to try before buying. As for assembly. It was a breeze. HOWEVER, it would be best to have two people, because the bike is VERY heavy. It's hard to lift and put the legs on it by yourself. I was able to do it (and I'm a fairly strong person), but wish I had a second person to lift it for me. I would definitely recommend this cycle. Happying Spinning!! July 23, 2012
Just what I was looking for! I am a road cyclist that's never ridden an indoor spin bike before. I'd heard from friends they feel like the real thing and provide a great workout. Therefore, I decided to invest in a spin bike for inclement weather. I did quite a bit of research and quickly realized if you want a solid bike you need to spend $800 - 1,000. After some investigation, it came down to two options: a refurbished Spinner NXT and this bike. In the end, the LIVESTRONG won out due to great reviews, a very competitive price (thru Dick's), a full warranty, and it came with a cycling computer. Most spin bikes in this price range do not incude the computer. I've worked out on the bike twice since it's arrival last week. It's solid, quiet, smooth, and easily adjustable. It feels like riding a real bike (especially out of the saddle) and provides a great workout. It's early, so I cannot provide insight about long-term performance, maintenance, or any annoying sqeaks or rattles. However, based on my experience so far, I would highly recommend this bike. Fit and finish is flawless! Easy assembly and smooth operation. May 23, 2012
Solid, smooth, great bike This is so much better than having my road bike on a trainer. It is very solid and easily adjustable. Very easy to use and set up. It is so much quiter than the bike trainer is as well. May 13, 2012
Recommended for all beginner to advanced I purchased this bike about 3 weeks ago and I am very happy with it. Shipping took about 1 week, the driver helped me carry the box down to my basement and setup was very easy. The steps in the instruction manual were very easy to follow and took about 30 mins to completely assemble and setup the bike. Once I started riding it I have been very happy with the bike. The pedals ride smoothly, handlebars are very comfortable, resistance knob is calibrated well (not too loose and not to sensitive), seat is the same comfort level as any spin bike (takes time to get used to, but after 3-4 uses you'll get accustomed to it just like with any spin or road bike) and the computer is very easy to use. Glad we went with the more expensive Livestrong brand as opposed to some of the less expensive bikes out there. The extra weight of the flywheel and base of this bike make it very sturdy when pedaling hard and when standing. I would highly recommend this bike for beginners, intermediate or advanced riders. A Nice Machine By using this machine twice a day has improved my strength and endurance on my road bike. I bought this machine so I can keep in shape on cold wet days. It is well built. It dosen't move when I stand up on the peddles to practice going up grades. Easy to adjust wheel tension. I can make it as hard as I want. Seat is comfortable but I use padded bike shorts. I wish the computer console had a lite diplay. Well worth the money. I'm 59 yrs old. January 2, 2012
Love it! This is a well built bike that is very smooth while pedaling I have had it for a week and have about 2 hours in the saddle so far. At first bike was a little loud, but with some tightening of bolts and lube, it is perfect. Seat and handle bars are easy to adjust. Amount of resistance while pedaling is easy to adjust. Bike is made of some heavy duty material and seems like it will las a very long time. DVD that comes with bike is good. It contains interval and weight loss workouts that each last a half hour.
