Rated 1 out of 5 by baseball dad Limited flight ball Bought these balls for batting practice for my son. Normally he can hit a baseball about 200 feet. He was lucky to hit these balls 150 feet. It was almost like he was hitting lead bricks. I had him pitch me a couple and I had the same result, no pop or distance of any kind. June 30, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by gr8arm No Pop I bought these balls for batting practice for my wood bat league and we quickly noticed that something was wrong. There was no wood crack sound when the bat would connect with it. It was more like a thud, like the sound you would here if you swung a bat into a mattress. The balls went absolutely nowhere. I'm 6'3", 215 lbs and I consistently hit balls over the fence (not trying to brag just trying to prove a point). Even with solid contact and a good angle I was lucky to get the ball 50 feet from the fence. All the other batters noticed this as well. In the second round we switch to some old game balls we had and the difference was night and day. These balls should be marked as reduced flight. They feel a little soft and definitely should not be touted as a practice/game ball. I don't know what league would use this as a game ball but I'd feel sorry for them if they did. For the price, this is a terrible ball. Stay away unless you want a reduced flight ball. August 29, 2010
