My daughter is just starting her first year of lacrosse and the price of the stick, bag, and Google's couldn't be beat. She loved the color and was perfect for just starting out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Coach & Proud Dad Great Jump Start for Someone Trying the Sport for the First Time
I have purchased two of these sticks over the past year and a half for beginner players in my family. I purchased one as part of the starter kit (including bag and goggles) and one as just a stick. It?s a good stick, and honestly the cheapest beginner stick option on the market. I call this stick a very good value; it is dependable and easy to break in for a novice.
This stick is for the first time player between 7 and 11 years old, who are just trying the sport out for the first time; without spending nearly a $100 on a stick. I have coached 8 to 11 year old girls? lacrosse for the past two years, and now I also coach middle school girls. I see quite a few first time players, and beginner sticks. This bargain basement STX more than holds its own!
As for people complaining because the pocket and stringing become loose, this stick is only designed to last a season or so without having to be restrung. As I said, the point of this stick is to get an off the rack, already assembled, cheap lacrosse stick for a young girl who is just learning the sport. If, after a season or so, your daughter has caught the lacrosse bug, it?s time to buy a more expensive beginners stick (better stringing and materials, as well as a more comfortable and light weight shaft), or to move up to an intermediate stick ($70 to $139).
I would definitely recommend this stick for the first time player in the U9 or U11 (and maybe U13) age range. It is not the best beginner?s stick on the market, but it is one of the top 3, while still being the cheapest beginner?s stick on the market.

You need to be clearer about boys vs girls lacrosse sticks/gear. Since you were not we bought a blue cased stick for my grandson. The label said girls! Now my daughter needs to go to the store - can't trust your web site - and exchange it.

I went into the Hanover, MA store to purchase my Daughter's Lacrosse equipment. I had the best experience. I really didn't know what I was looking for as Lacrosse is very new to us. Well the woman that helped me were fabulous. I wish I got both of their names so I could have called to store and praise them for their help. They both went above and beyond. I can't wait to go back and purchase more from a store that employs such great people. Keep up the good work Dicks!!!Cheers,Margo

Very nice combination if your girl is just starting out in lacrosse. You don't need a big name, high priced lacrosse stick if you are just starting out and have no idea if you are going to like to sport. I noticed that a majority of the girls on m y granddaughter's lacrosse team had the exact same set. Apparently the price and combination apealed to most parents. I highly recommend this set if this is the first time your girl has plaed lacrosse. During her second practice we had to saw off a few inches of the stick so that is was more manageable for her. As a matter of fact, the coach had to saw down half of the girls sticks so that they coud use them.
