Rated 5 out of 5áby This is way better than a bunch of dumbells lying around! I cancelled my gym membership and decided to make my own gym. Love these adjustable blocks. The adjuster "thingy" is way better than the bowflex knob. I just wish i would have gotten the 70-90 lb add on, but i don't think Dicks sells this though. I recommend getting the stand for this also. Rated 3 out of 5áby Not upgradeable My husband bought the classic 50 set a couple years ago and he loves it. However, I've been researching to purchase the extension kit to add more weight only to find out extension kits are not available for this set. If you eventually want to go above 50lbs, buy the Classic 50 Plus or Elite set. August 7, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5áby Outdated version, can get better from PowerBlock for same price I just bought these from Dick's today (in store) only to discover this is an outdated version from what I had researched online at PowerBlock's website. The newer set comes with more increments between weights. The new model goes from 2.5 to 50 lbs with 16 different increments, whereas this one from Dick's only goes from 10 to 50 with 9 increments. The odd thing is that it's the same price at Dick's for the old one as it is on the Company's site for the new one (plus they have a lot more variety if this doesn't meet you specific needs). The company has $60 shipping and handling, but it's available from a certain other company with "prime" shipping for free. About the product. Only barely used it, but I really really like it so far. Rated 5 out of 5áby 2 years old and still going strong I have had these dumbbells for 2 years now, and they are still the best dumbbell's I've ever used. They were perfect for my home gym setup, as I didn't have a lot of room for a large set. I've recommended them to everyone that has asked. I would buy them again in a heart beat! July 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Easy to use The powerblocks are easy to use and amount of weight can be changed very quickly. June 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Possibly best Adjustable Set out there.. Did hours of research on 50lb or more adjustable dumbbell set bc i was looking to replace a 25lb set (weider) that i bought when funds were low. Originally thought i was going to have to break the bank and get bowflex. Stumbled upon this set and was skeptically at first. Tried them out at a store and looked at reviews online. major selling points were the compactness and the ease of switching weight. Cant wait to start a new round of p90x with these weights. only cons that i have come across in my month+ of owning the set is that sometimes when picking up at an angle, instead of straight above, more weight can attach itself. but no big deal, just get into the habit of picking the weights up correctly. Also, i would suggest getting a pair of lifting gloves bc ive been getting new/different calluses. overall i am very happy with this purchase. and plan on recommend these to friends and anyone who brings up weights. Rated 5 out of 5áby BEST ADJUSTABLE I have researched all the other adjustable dumbbells and have decided Powerblocks are the BEST! They are smaller, sturdier and more DEPENDABLE than the others. At first I was turned off by the BLOCK look but have since used them for every exercise I can think of and LOVE them. Much cheaper than buying a complete set of dumbbells and they take up no room at all. I didn't get the stand for them but use an old chair to place them on when I work out. If your looking at adjustable dumbbells Powerblocks are the one to get. Give them a try!!! November 29, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Product, Easy to Use I looked at online reviews and compared the PowerBlock to the Bowflex in the store and found the PowerBlock to be a superior product. Great for P90X and easy to change weight quickly. I bought the stand sold in the store as well and it is quite sturdy and compact. PowerBlock makes heavier, more expensive stands, but I don't think the extra money is necessary for the Classic 50lb set. They are a little funky looking and I was a little skeptical about the handle being inside the block before I tried them, but I soon realized that was an unecessary concern once I used them. Rated 5 out of 5áby Perfect for P90X The Powerblocks offer a lot of weight options in a compact, well-designed unit. They are perfect to use with P90X and it's really easy to change weight options in between exercises. They are expensive at [$]. However, it is still less expensive that buying the same weight options in traditional weights. October 6, 2011
