I purchased this pack for a weekend trail hike and it was brilliant! Weighted down with 50+ pounds it felt comfortable and the pack did almost all of the work. The weight distribution and suspension is top notch. There are several straps, hooks and hang holds for extra loads. My only complaint (if I had to look for one) would be that the shoulder straps could use a softer cushion, but I had on a tank because it was 100 degrees so I did get a little raw on the shoulders. Had I worn a fuller coverage shirt it wouldn't have been an issue. Excellent purchase!!

I bought this pack after using the same pack for around 15 years as a NASAR SAR Tech. Wow - -how things have changed. I am a 5'0 tall female and although my last pack was nice, this pack feels almost weightless. It is so much cooler with the venting in the back. I camp the Ozark Highland Trails and others in Arkansas mainly. This carries my tent, hammock, food, clothes, medical supplies, two 5x7 tarps and everything else with room to spare. It is a really comfortable pack and love all of the compression straps and placed to put biners.

Was looking for a light weight woman's pack to go fishing high in the mountains. I am slightly under 5'4" and slender. This pack sits well on my hips. The chest strap goes across comfortably. My arms are free to move. My head does not bump the pack. It can carry all my gear, food, and telescoping rod and real...for a 5+ day outing. I am totally content with this pack. I looked for a backpack at all the stores in a 30 mile radius before I ordered this one in store at Dick's and had it shipped directly to me in time for my outing. Since I am "older" I'm sure I have my "lifetime" pack!
