Vasque Men's Wasatch GORE-TEX Hiking Boot 4.3 5 16 16
Do not waste your money Purchased these boots in Sept 2012. Comfortable right out of the box and appeared to be quality boots which is expected in the $170 range. Decent traction on dry terrain, but anything wet (floor, sidewalk, driveway, rocks, etc) and the grip is gone. Because of the poor traction they were barely used over the winter months. Now April 2013 and the sole on one boot has split completely through the sole and across the boot. The other boot is split halfway across. Due to the lack of traction and poor quality, I recommend not purchasing these boots. April 23, 2013
Terrific boots - I love Vasque boots. My other pair was purchased in the late 1970s early 1980s. I've had them refurbished a few times and they're still going strong -- but they are heavy. This model with it's Gore-Tex additions is so very light and extremely comfortable. I like to break my boots in a lot before using them on hikes. These seem to be nearly ready to go after only 5 or 6 break-in sessions. I'm very pleased. April 16, 2013
poor quality Never payed so much for boots before. Very comfortable. Poor quality. Bough them on Dec 19. Now Jan.10. The rubber on the front is coming unglued. Haven't even hit water or snow yet. Very disappointed. January 10, 2013
Comfortable! I work on movie sets for 14 hours a day on a variety of surfaces, from mud to concrete floors. This is my third pair of these exact boots. I've tried many, even much more expensive and these are the best for me. Waterproof too! December 29, 2012
Great Boots I purchased these boots for my husband to work in. He's on his feet just for eight hours a day. He loves them. They are very comfortable and look great. I would recommend them highly! July 30, 2012
So far so good My first pair lasted 11 years and was still waterproof.I tried a different brand and though is was very comfortable it constantly needs waterproofing. So,I'm back with the Vasque Wasatch.I noticed there is a bit more toe protection,a good thing. So,hopefully I'll be wearing this pair for a long time. Thanks June 6, 2012
Just like they used to make Comfort right out of box. Turned into an old man and need good boots. They feel great: stiff sole, great leather uppers. Had hard time replacing old Asolos, these look like they may do it, time will tell. Good price and Dick's running a sale. Grew up in Endicott,ny love to support the Home team. March 13, 2012
Top quality I wear these boots when I go walking or hiking. They are a well made solid shoe. They provide firm support and sure footing on all terrain. This is my second pair of Vasque boots. March 5, 2012
Best Hiking Boot I Have Owned I wanted a boot that was not a nylon mesh on the outside. My last pair of boots lost their water resistance when a campfire ember burned through near the toes. I have been wearing the new boots in preparation for a weekend scouting camp out in December. They were a perfect fit of the box. I planed to break them in, but there is no need. Note, I wear middle weight socks. I recommend these to anyone. December 7, 2011
Not my style A little to high on the ankle for my liking. November 14, 2011
