Lives up to its name
Not much to say. It does what it is intended for. Installation was kinda annoying though. You take the big bite valve off, stick the bottom half onto the tube, and put the big bite valve on top. The way it's designed it lets the cap move a fair bit. I would have rather had a design where the cap clamped onto the tube instead of being simply held between the valve and tube. All in all though, it does the job.

Good product but a bit of a install pain
The product is well designed for the intended purpose of protecting the bite value, but its a bit of a pain to install as the CamelBak backpacks aren't built with this product in mind as you have to remove the bit valve to install cover. Once installed the cover will not fit through the shoulder strap therefore I recommend installing tube fully through CamelBak backpack till reaching tube holder and then install cover and bite valve back onto the tube. Wish CamelBak gave a little more room to install with the bite valve and cover instead of having to remove and install each time of cleaning or removing tube from backpacks.

Perfect Cap
It does what it needs to do. Keep dirt and debris off the bite valve. The store I was in, this item was not near the other Camelbak packs. All the accessories for Camelbak were in the bike gear section. Wouldn't you think they need to be all in the same section?

A necessity
Camelback is sneaky just like Apple Comp.. They could have included this as part of the hydration pack, but they know how to make money.

must buy
this is the best thing i was able to purchase for my camelback . i left my bite valve covered in original packages waiting to find this .all ihave to say is how would u feel if your out with an uncovered bite valve. dirt slime or whatever covering the valve if your out and about. with this you wont have that problem.only draw back its a little tempermental install it. you need to use very hot water pouring over the hose for 15 miinutes or so to pull off the hose from the connector this fits in between connector and bitevalve. camelback customer service helped me with it
