Good sized backpack! Great backpack! Lots of pockets and places to store your gear and sleeping bag. Very comfortable too! May 7, 2013
Waist buckle broke on first hike Pack is laid out well, doesn't have many external attachment points, but I knew that when I bought it. First hike was about 5 miles, pack was full but not overloaded. When I put it on to hike out today, I noticed that one of the prongs on the waist buckle had snapped off, and so that belt could not be used. Had read one review about a strap breaking on first hike, don't know if it is this same one or not. I'll be trading this in tomorrow, try a Kelty next. March 26, 2013
Light affordable backpack This pack is worth the money, but you have to realize that it isn't perfect. Bring some duct tape for minor repairs. Sturdier packs are at least twice the price, so if you are going lightweight on a budget, this is the pack for you. Isle Royale! March 8, 2013
very poor pack Bought it summer2012 its poor quality very uncomfortable its now January and today im getting my osprey 70 hooray:-) January 18, 2013
Roomy with versatile adjustability This pack is well constructed, offers multiple adjustable options to allow a custom fit to sizes big/small and male/female, with a value which is difficult to beat. January 15, 2013
shoulder strap ripped on first hike I purchased this backback this summer (2012) on sale without having read the reviews. In October 2012 I used it for the first time on a hike. I 'm glad it was only a 5-mile overnighter, as the shoulder strap tore and I had to carry the weight largely on the other shoulder. November 20, 2012
Good ideas but poor execution This bag seems to have been built by two teams. One designed a well thought out bag (lots of tie downs, great adjustments, neat features). The other team then decided how to execute the design with the cheapest materials possible. I bought this bag a few days before a 2 day hiking trip. Stitching was breaking before bag was half packed (never fully packed bag). Over the course of the trip, additional seam tears developed. I returned the bag to Dick's with no trouble but was very disappointed with the product overall. Could be a great bag if they used a bit more quaility materials. November 19, 2012
Great Pack! Just returned from Costa Rica with this pack. It held everything we could have needed. Held up very well through the airport baggage handlers as well. The built in rain jacket was very useful as well. Didn't leak at all (we hit the tail end of the rainy season in Costa Rica). November 15, 2012
Very large pack Holds a lot of gear and clothing. Could use more outside pockets and attachment points. Light and comfortable. Rain cover is a nice feature. November 15, 2012
Disappointing I'm glad I bought this on sale because if I paid full price for it, I would be ballistic right now. I purchased this item for my boy scout in April of 2012. The zipper ripped in Sept of 2012. The warranty on this item is 90 days, so there is no recourse for me to take to try to get it repaired, replaced, or my money reimbursed. Ridiculous.
