Fitness Gear 8 lb Medicine Ball
This is a solid ball that can take a lot of wear and tear. Used it for evaluation of fitness for elite athletes and it held up great, finished like it was still right out of the box. Will continue to use this product and will look at purchasing the entire line. It was a great deal when they were buy one get one 1/2 off

Best ball at local stores
I really like using this medicine ball line. They are solid and sturdy and feel high quality. I am starting to slam the balls down in my exercise routines but one thing I don't like is that when I slam the balls down they do not always bounce straight back up. It is as if the density of the ball is not quite consistent throughout. I have the 4lb, 6lb, 8lb, 10lb, and 12lb balls and they all have the same issue but the 8lb is the worst. But from what I have seen, there was no better medicine ball out there that I could find at my local stores. I am not sure how the Fitness Gear rubber balls compare with other brands online. The price was higher than I wanted to pay but buying them with the promotional helped a lot. I will consider purchasing the 15lb and 20lb balls in the future but they are expensive.

Perfect med ball
Solid and indestructible. Good purchase for wife and kids to use. Don't drop it on your toes, ouch!

Fitness Gear Medicine Balls are as durable as any commercial brand med ball on the market today at a fraction of the cost. The fact that I can go to my local Dick's Sporting Goods Store and make a purchase without the hassel of ordering it online, saves me time, money - both on the product and shipping cost.

Very Nice Med Balls
Using two of these for p90x2. They are very well constructed. The grips on them provide for better stability than you would think. I highly recommend.

Great medicine ball...
This is a great medicine ball. We use it for out daughter who plays competitive volleyball, this works much better for setter drills than the very squishy/soft medicine balls that are available at other sporting goods stores. The Fitness Gear medicine ball has an easily gripped outer shell that is firm, when brand new, it seems to have a slick coating, that is easily removed using common dish detergent (liquid kind), after that, works great.

I'm not happy with the medicine ball. I was hoping for something with alittle more grip and bouncer..

best ball at Dicks harrisburg
The other day I spent about an hour or so trying out pretty much every 6-10lb medicine ball they had at my local store. I took each one out of the box and tried several exercies 1) tossed over my head standing up 2) tossed over my head in a v-sit 3)russion twists. I had actually came in with the assumption I would be leaving with the Reebox 6lb, but they only had the 10lb. I tried the 10lb and I really liked the weight of it. Once I finished playing I found that I was debating between the Reebox 10lb and this one. I have to tell you that this one won over. The material, fingergrips and balanced feel I had with it won me over dispite it not matching my decor. The reebox one's were had to much of a basetball feel, which wasn't as preferred as the soft rubber of this one. PROS Varies sizes / weights available finger grips rubber material weighted well balanced feel when moving around it holds me up at 150 lbs CONS not visually pleasing doesn't match workout room color scheme
