Good enough
Good: Definitely served its purpose. Good gym floor smell. Seems to protect from weights falling if they fall flat. Shipped fast and light weight.
Bad: Did not always fit together on edges and had to mix and match pieces and edges. Easily cut by falling objects. Have to put plastic on bare floor so the rubber/adhesive does not bind to concrete. Hard to cut if needed for edging.

Does the Job
Many reviews are stating 'it slides' or 'it breaks apart'...yeah, it's pretty evident from looking at the material and package that this isn't made to be some sort of cure-all for every athletic need you could imagine.
What it does is provide protection for your floors...and that's really about it and it does that job well. The mats I use have almost no wear and tear after a year of 350+ deadlifts. They can absorb a dropped 45 easily and are fairly stable. My wood floors beneath them do not have a single scratch.
However, they are squishy enough to NOT exercise directly on if you are a power lifter or getting into power lifting. For those types of lifts you probably would want something closer to a yoga mat which is thinner and has less 'squishy-ness' to it.
As I only engage in limited cardio I cannot attest to its value but would imagine it to have a little too much 'give' to want to be jumping up and down on...and yeah, it's going to slid unless it's glued to the floor.

Outdoor Use
I bought this product to sit on the ground beneath my pop up deer blind. It is durable, and quiet. The soft foam provides nice resistance for anything I drop like a flashlight. Its very quiet to walk / move around on. They're easy to break down and fit inside the carrying case for the pop up blind so moving from place to place is no problem. They're also nice for oil changes.

It didn't fit what we needed it for.
It was used on the floor under me when doing push-ups. It kept me from being directly against the hard floor. They kept on separating, breaking apart the floor mat.

Perfect for P90X!!!
I used four of these kits to build an 8'x 8' sq to do my P90X and they are exactly what I needed. The edge pieces all have detachable trim so you can mix and match and form an entire unit. I used them on carpet in my living room and noticed immediately how much better my impact moves were reduced on my feet.

Good but not Great
I made and 8" x 8" workout mat to support free weights and an ab machine. The pads make a good resiliant workout surface however they do not all fit together perfectly. The interlocking tabs between some of the panels are not cut exactly the same so they leave some small gaps between sections or push some sections together so they don't sit completely flat on the floor. Two of the sixteen sections I purchased are a slightly different thickness making a slightly uneven surface. I still like the product but think it could fit better considering the price.

Good solid matt
I purchased these mats to fill up the floor of my home gym. They look great and have held up well. One note be careful when I purchased some additional mats to finish filling up the room, I accidently picked up the 1/4" (look almost the same) and had to return and swap out. Not a big deal just a small hassle.

Convert tile floor to wt. room floor
Converted my library with tile floor to wts room, with wt. bench and dumbbells, plus 300lb. Olympic wt. set. This floor guard filled the bill. Thick and solid enough to do the trick. Some packages meshed better than others and some were lighter in color, but overall very satisfied.
