Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice product and value Product is a great alternative to the thicker and higher priced options available. January 16, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by I think these are all about the installation I purchased an earlier version of these 10 years ago and just plain wore them out, weightlifting, cross fit, martial arts. I found that HOW they are installed makes a huge difference. They must MUST be on a solid surface, MUST be spaced off any walls by quite a bit as they expand and contract a ton, I used leftover edging cut to 3" long. I also used the best duct tape I could buy to tape the seams, on the underside. This is a bit of a pain because I had to install the floor twice, once to get the layout then flipped them over to tape the seams which can be done in groups of six. In my experience taping ALL the joints really helps it expand and contact as one unit. This new version has much better slip resistance and with extra effort looks great. September 15, 2016

Rated 4 out of 5 by Does the trick created 8x8 workout area in the basement, works fine for what it is. worked out to be less than a dollar a sq. foot. December 7, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Floor Guard Tiles While the concept is good, the quality of these tiles is not suitable for a good fitness room. They're light weight and would likely deteriorate in a short time. If you're in the market for rubber gym flooring, I'd go with a roll of something heavier duty. I took these tiles back to the store for a refund the next day and will look for better quality on-line. Rated 1 out of 5 by Garbage! I bought this to place under a small home gym, inside my home, on a carpeted floor. I placed the rough side down to keep it from sliding. The pieces fit together poorly and it slides on the carpet, thus causing the entire weight machine to move. The worst part is the fact that all of the edges curl up causing me to trip on them. Maybe the 3/4 inch thick pads (for double the cost) would have worked better. May 25, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good enough Good: Definitely served its purpose. Good gym floor smell. Seems to protect from weights falling if they fall flat. Shipped fast and light weight. Bad: Did not always fit together on edges and had to mix and match pieces and edges. Easily cut by falling objects. Have to put plastic on bare floor so the rubber/adhesive does not bind to concrete. Hard to cut if needed for edging. December 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does the Job Many reviews are stating 'it slides' or 'it breaks apart'...yeah, it's pretty evident from looking at the material and package that this isn't made to be some sort of cure-all for every athletic need you could imagine. What it does is provide protection for your floors...and that's really about it and it does that job well. The mats I use have almost no wear and tear after a year of 350+ deadlifts. They can absorb a dropped 45 easily and are fairly stable. My wood floors beneath them do not have a single scratch. However, they are squishy enough to NOT exercise directly on if you are a power lifter or getting into power lifting. For those types of lifts you probably would want something closer to a yoga mat which is thinner and has less 'squishy-ness' to it. As I only engage in limited cardio I cannot attest to its value but would imagine it to have a little too much 'give' to want to be jumping up and down on...and yeah, it's going to slid unless it's glued to the floor. Rated 5 out of 5 by Outdoor Use I bought this product to sit on the ground beneath my pop up deer blind. It is durable, and quiet. The soft foam provides nice resistance for anything I drop like a flashlight. Its very quiet to walk / move around on. They're easy to break down and fit inside the carrying case for the pop up blind so moving from place to place is no problem. They're also nice for oil changes. October 13, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by It didn't fit what we needed it for. It was used on the floor under me when doing push-ups. It kept me from being directly against the hard floor. They kept on separating, breaking apart the floor mat. September 9, 2012
