Good Value
This heart rate monitor is a good value for the exercise beginner. I like that I can momentarily check my heart rate without the chest strap, or monitor constantly with the chest strap. This hrm has helped me prevent the overtraining that leaves me feeling exhausted after a workout or a run. While there may be small discrepancies between a touch reading and a strap reading, it's close enough to get a beginner into a controlled exercise plan without wearing themselves out.If you need something fancier, calibrated, or more bells and whistles, fork out more money for a higher end monitor. For the price, you can't beat this model!

Awesome!
This heart rate/watch combo is everything I could have asked for! Definitely recommend it to anyone in the market for a product like this.

This product was every thing i needed and more
I have bought a similar item at another department store it lasted a few months it did not keep proper calorie count I pitched it and wasted my money. I was skeptical about buying this one from Dicks when I brought it home the directions were some confusing but once I got the hang of it, let me tell you I was amazed the chest band is so accurate it checked it with my heart rate monitor on my bike and my blood pressure machine to the number on all three. My last watch would stop counting calories after 15 hours I sleep with my chest band very comfortable even for a fat guy like me. after wearing for a couple of days only removing for showers, I didn't notice I had it on. I was amazed that it did not stop in time, but after max calorie count. The watch is also stylish I wear it with my suits and other dress clothes. thanks for a great product for a reasonable price.

Instructions are tough to understand
I think this heart monitor will be fine but I've had it for two weeks and the instructions are hard to figure out the options and buttons it has. I haven't been able to get it to the heart settings yet. Will probably have to call the customer service for help. I'm sure once I get things straight I'll love it. It's my first monitor so I guess that's probably one reason why I don't understand some settings.

very inconsistent between strap and touch monitor
there is a big difference between the readings of the chest strap and the readings of the touch monitor

Not much to recommend.
This was my first watch/HRM combo and I really did not know what to expect. I bought the device after my defibrillator gave me a shock; I was exercising and my heart rate exceeded the device setting. I did not want that to happen again! The HRM instructions were difficult to follow (I have an engineering degree and really do know how to read and follow instructions) and after a frustrating hour or three I gave up and returned it to the store for a full refund and no questions asked. I did buy a Timex watch/HRM which I am totally satisfied with.

Works great for the money
For the price I really don't think you can go wrong. The one touch heart rate does get in the way, and the chest band isn't the best but it works.
Hardest part I have was getting everything to reset took me a couple of min. Also for bigger people it will have a bit to get the chest band were you want it.

Product did not work
We purchased this product specifically to help monitor heart rate during exercise. Unfortunately, it was during exercise when the monitor would not read the heart rate. I would not recommend this if your purpose is heart rate monitoring during intense exercise.
